10-12TH JUNE 2015 The Serocor Group is passionate about supporting charities through a range of fundraising activities. In previous years, we have participated in the London to Paris bike ride, the Three Peaks Challenge and 2015 sees us take on the biggest challenge yet! 14 members of the Serocor Group (comprising ARM, Optamor, Bloc and Serocor Solutions) will take on their first epic cycle challenge to raise funds for the Group’s nominated charity, Naomi House. This gruelling 300 mile route takes in all three of its southern offices, as well as Naomi House. The team will be spending 7-8 hours per day in the saddle putting in a gruelling 100 miles per day with a support team of four. The team includes a few keen cyclists, an Iron Man Challenger, a real mixture of part-time gym goers and a few whose favourite machine, is the vending machine. Naomi House and Jacksplace are hospices that support families from seven counties in southern England – Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight. It offers a full palliative care service that includes respite, emergency and end of life care for life-limited and life-threatened children and young adults from birth and into their later years. Our fundraising target is £20,000 with every penny going to Naomi House and Jacksplace. This money could fund the following: 5 overnight respite stays 1 week summer holiday 10 hydrotherapy sessions 5 music therapy sessions 5 Grandparents days 8 weeks of nursing care 2 youth club sessions 3 family rooms for a week 1 week’s catering for family and visitors 6 additional hours of nursing care Follow our social media pages to find out who is taking part and why not share some motivational words to keep them going through their training.
