the relationship between art and architecture
There’s always an argument about the relationship between art and archi-tecture. This exhibition provides an opportunity to present the artworks from art and architecture field in pairs at one time, for the public to com-pare the two. Artworks from both fields have similar forms of artworks (i.e. drawings, sculpture, etc.) to represent themselves and similar ways of think-ing (i.e. how to construct the frame, the usage of materiality, etc.) during the art-making process. In the exhibition, the two fields some borrows ideas from the other one to evoke creation. However, from the perspective of architecture, sometimes those artworks become more likely a tool in-stead of just a simple representation, to test out spatial ideas. There is no one certain answer for this.
