Cash generated from Spin-Off of restaurant and bottling Operation would help PepsiCo in Attacking Coke monopoly in Fountain Soda.

Entry into Fast Food chains business and got contracts of : Pizza Inn (525 outlets) and Bojangles (257 outlets).

In 2000, acquired a majority stake in SBBC (South Beach Beverage Company)- After the launch of Brand SoBe PepsiCo emerged as one of the successful companies in Non-carbonated segment.
