GSM network is widely used today whether it is for

calling or SMS. Also some of the places needs urgentnotices like in college, railway stations share-market ,

and this notice should be in real-time , so we need a real-time notice. This project is our experiment to give a startto the era of real-time noticing. The main aim of the

project will be to design a SMS driven automatic displaytoolkit which can replace the currently used

programmable electronic display. This project is aboutwriting the message which is to be displayed in mobile

and send it as SMS to other side. This received message isfetched into Microcontroller and after authentication it

    is displayed on LCD screen.

    1. It is proposed to implement this project at the institute

level. It is proposed to place display boards at major access

points. These include canteens, entrance gate, hostel area

    etc.

    2. The display board programs itself with the help of the

incoming SMS with proper validation. The valid senders

may include the Director, HOD and TPO.

    3. SMS from these users is treated to be valid and is

displayed. Other SMS from any other mobile phone is

discarded. Thus information from valid sources can be

    broadcasted easily.

    4. The proposed locations of these display boards are shown

    in the figure.

Temperature display during periods wherein no message buffers are

empty is one such theoretical improvement that is very possible.

With proper use of interrupt routines the incoming message

acts as an interrupt, the temperature display is halted and thecontrol flow jumps over to the specific interrupt service routine

which first validates the senders number and then displays the

    information field.

Multilingual display can be another added variation of the project.
