Kaizen Event
Other Small Projects
Power Line > Hi-Low & UPT Lines
Current Power Line
Future Power LinesUPT/SCP Line & Hi-Low Line
Generating Future UPT Line Format and Sequence
Collected cycle times on current seven station across all UPT and SCP models
Developed cycle times per station based on the current build mix to compress UPT tables from a seven station build to a three station build
Balanced and combined work sequence to meet identified target times
Finalized new work instruction in Winsequence
Change request #C3813
Resolved Near Miss Incident
Modified a current part basket design to replace unfit wood part basket
This project was completed after a wood basket broke while being handled
Purchasing > Processing > Weld > Finished Product
630 Assembly Cart Project Eliminated the use of the large assembly cart used to attach the foot and
back sections to a 630 unit Able to eliminate cart by developing a hoisting method and new work
sequence New sequence will create much needed space on the new UPT Line and
will allow for a faster assembly time
630 Assembly Cart Project
Run base downReceive components
Assemble back and foot to seat
Link actuator using brace Hoist entire assembly Secure assembly to scissor top
Future Sequence:
Spring Kaizen Event
Kaizen Event on April 20th and 21st Casework Line, Station 2 Theme: Save 600 seconds of fluctuation through three stations on the
Casework line Outcome: Saved just over 200 seconds of fluctuation Implemented 4 Kaizens
• Tool accessibility • Tool interference/disruptance• Reducing Red Zone Work
Other Small Projects
Nutsert Testing
Construction of New Line Components
Battery Exchange Cart Waterspider Battery Charging Station
Battery Tray/Holder
New Station Development
Midmark Experience
