Autospeed Pvt Ltd is a manufacturing firm that produces products for automobile industry. Since the establishment of the company, it has been the outstanding brand of the automobile articles and has been catering to most of the pvt ltd companies. Up to now, their sales network has extended to most of the big cities in the country and become the main supplier of automobile articles to large-scaled super market.

Products manufactured: Wheel Covers Roof rails Door visors Spoilers Other accessories

Objective: The main aim of the company is become "concentrated, professional and specialized in automobile articles". The firm sets it objectives, goals and performance are set before beginning of each quarter.

Vision: To make effective and efficient use of man machine material to manufacture all products with cost effectiveness and meeting customer satisfaction with minimum rejection and the best quality standards.

Mission- To be recognised as one of the leading manufacturers in all kinds of machined components and assemblies for automotive and non-automotive markets.

To Achieve The Objectives, The Company Uses 5 Managerial Function Ins In The Following Manner :

1) Planning Being a company focused to be the best in the industry Mr. ashok singhal (the owner) make a detailed written plan identifying requirements, time frame, cost structure, personnel requirements and possible constraint

a) Raw material - The raw materials are procured from trusted sources directly from the domestic and international companies in bulk at the cheapest cost. Lets take an example-The factory has to cast, machined, painted and inspected 60 units of wheel covers over 3 weeks. The main raw material used for manufacturing wheel covers is HIP grade plastic graneauls ie,((ABC,PP )etc. Plastic grades are availaible in different varieties but HIP grade is the most suitable grade for higher durability in manufacturing wheel covers. Metal wires- The round shape metal wires are used in fitting the wheel covers in the rim of the car which are in different size according to the diameter of the tyre. Plastic paints- It is used to enhance the looks of the vehicle. The company uses P.u paints to paint the cars.Raw Material Vendor Of Autospeed Pvt.Ltd-Tarini steels Vipul bright Rajat wiresChamundi steel Navigold and asian paints.

b) Plant and machinery- To carry out the production activity the company uses following machineries:

In the above example to produce wheel covers the machineries needed are Hydraulic Wheel Rim Machine Plastic Steering Wheel Cover Machine

c) Total Manpower The company has 80 workers who executes the entire production process from bringing raw material to its shipment.d) Estimation Of Production Cost- Before the production process starts Mr.singhal makes a budget regarding the cost: Raw material Salary of employees including skilled and unskilled workers, accounts etc. Business assets Machinery depreciation and maintenance Electricity Charges logistics Miscellaneous changes like water and sewage charges, Profit margin Market condition Inclination of international currency like USDe) Setting The Budget- The Owner ie, Mr Ashok singhal takes suggestion from the other staff members while deciding about the budget. He considers several factors like- Investment in machinery and other assets for development Employee rewards/ incentives Funds for equipment up gradation. to participate in domestic trade fairs. Domestic trade fair is held in Pragati Maidan Delhi and Mumbai. for investing in new raw materials for research and improved design.f) Who Will Be The Potential Customers?1. Automobile service station: Certain non authorized service station purchase products like roof rails, wheel cap covers etc. in bulk directly from the manufacturing company.2. Stauff India Pvt. Ltd. Pune. 3. Bundy India Ltd. , Baroda.4. Norma Group Products India P. Ltd., Talegaon,Pune.5. Taurus Flexibles Pvt. Ltd., Talegaon, Pune.6. Iai Industries Ltd. Chakan.

g) Rules And Regulation For The Staff- The firm has made some rules according to INDIAN LABOUR LAW- No smoking inside the premises 3holidays in a week Prior intimation before taking any leave.

2) ORGANISING-Autospeed Pvt ltd has a trained and experienced set of dedicated team members with whose help they are able to design and manufacture their products as per the customer specifications and demands, as well as put in timely delivery of their productsThe general manager of the firm Mr. singhal delegate authority and responsibility to their staff according to their position and expertise. He breaks all the organizational activity into small functions-1) All the blue collar workers will bring the raw material and carry out the entire production process for example- running the machines, packaging, shipment etc.2) People having expertise in Quality-testing will ensure that the client gets the best product. For this. Samples are made from each batch of production throughput the manufacturing process preventing breakage is primary goal.3) The middle level workers who works in finance department will be responsible to maintain up to date ledger of each and every customer and supplier. They interact with customers for payment related queries, issue of road permits, payment reminders.

In the above example of manufacturing wheel covers task will be divided according to the skills- Who will do die die-cutting, laser cutting and hard tooling activity. Who will be doing printing Who will be measuring the thickness,diameter etc. Who will keep check on all the above activities.

3)LEADING-The organisation has a very flat structure.Mr. Ashok singhal(owner)

Manager of each department reports directly to Mr. shivam. All the employees have the right to have skip level meetings at one level above the designation Objectives are assigned by by the authority based on the rank in the firm. Roles and responsibilities are assigned at each level. If the person has any issue for example have plans for holiday then after discussion job may be assigned to another equally skilled person

The selection process at any level in the firm except the lower level involves an interview of the candidate in which current expertise and work history is mainly used for evaluation.Successful candidate then undergoes salary negotiation

4)CONTROLLING-Tools used to check the performance-when the production process ends the company uses its balance sheet, daily receipts, sales quotas and employee appraisal and analyse the reasons for gap between actual and standard target- lack of finance, attitude of workers, lack of time, loss of information, production failures etc.. In the above example the workers had to cast, machined, painted and inspected 60 units of wheel covers during 3 weeks.50 units of wheel cover were produced. But they failed to meet the targets. The reason was careless attitude of workers, fatigue, absenteeism, and late delievey of raw material. Mr.singhal decided to take corrective actions to resolve the root cause ie, attitude of workers. He decided to give them extra bonus and other incentives to boost up their morale.

Distribution factorGoods distribution-Autospeed Pvt Ltd generally uses intensive distribution where their products are stocked in the majority of wholesalers outlets. In certain cities, Autospeed Pvt Ltd marketing department have appointed distributor for their products..

Logistics- Autospeed pvt ltd makes millions of products every day and uses intermediaries to bring their product to marketThe company spends a significant amount every year on transportation and warehousing and doesnt own their own vehicles. Trains, trucks, ships used to transport their product.

Payment Collection-The company collect the payment in the following form-

a. Cash Payment From Customers Residing Locally In Delhib. Chequec. Electronic Payment Transferd. Debit Note: In Case Of Faulty Material Debit Note Is Issued.

HENRI FAYOLS PRINCIPLES USED BY THE COMPANY-

1) Division of work- The company assigned the task according to the expertise.2) Discipline- Rules and regulations defined by the company for workers like No smoking inside the premises3) Remuneration-The firms considers various factors in determining the workers rate of pay according to his skills etc4) Centralization- Workers are invited for their valuable suggestions which can contribute to the organizational success for example-the middle level workers were allowed to speak during the time of setting budget..

5) Stability of tenure of personnel- The company gives time to time training and non monetary benefits to retain them for the long run. Example- to meet the production target Mr.singhal decided to give extra bonus to their workers.

6) Initiative- employees are free to take initiative. The are not bound by anything.7) Esprit de corps- The Company encourage harmony and general good feelings among the staff.
