Dobi adalah seekor anak domba. Ia berteman dengan Kabi. Kabi adalah seekor

anak kambing. Mereka sering bermain bersama. Mereka tinggal di sebuah padang

belantara di Afrika. Dobi tinggal di sebelah barat bukit batu. Sedangkan Kabi tinggal di

sebelah timur bukit batu.

Pada suatu hari Dobi disuruh ibunya mengunjungi paman Rusa. Ia tinggal

berdekatan dengan Kabi. Pada saat yang sama ibu Kabi menyuruh Kabi mengunjungi bibi

Jerapah. Ia tinggal berdekatan dengan Dobi. Ibu mereka berpesan kepada mereka agar

berhati- hati di jalan. Dobi berangkat dan menaiki bukit dari arah barat. Kabi mulai menaiki

bukit dari arah timur. Akhirnya mereka tiba di jalan sempit di tebing terjal. Jalan itu hanya

bisa dilalui oleh seekor binatang saja.

Dobi dan Kabi berpapasan. Mereka kebingungan karena tidak bisa maju atau

mundur lagi. Mereka berunding mencari jalan keluar. Bila bekerja sama pasti bisa melewati

rintangan itu. Akhirnya mereka sepakat untuk mengalah salah satu. Dobi merebahkan

tubuhnya. Ia meminta Kabi menginjak tubuhnya agar bisa melewati jalan sempit itu.

Setelah Kabi melewati, Dobi kembali berdiri dan melanjutkan perjalanan dengan selamat.

Pada tahun 2007, terjadi musibah di Amerika Serikat. Jembatan Manhattan runtuh.

Jembatan yang melintas diatas sungai Missisipi runtuh dan menelan banyak korban.

Mobil-mobil yang melintas diatasnya berjatuhan ke sungai. Akibatnya, banyak orang

tewas dalam musibah itu. Sebenarnya apa yang terjadi sampai jembatan itu runtuh ?

Setelah diselidiki ternyata jembatan itu terlalu tua. Maka, harus ada renovasi agar

jembatan itu tidak runtuh. Namun, hal itu sudah terlambat untuk dilakukan. Banyak
