Fire Pro Wrestling Returns
Converting Saves for the
PlayStation 3 PSN (PS2 Classic) Release
CAUTION:
Understand that when you replace any SCEVMC0.VME or SCEVMC1.VME files on a
USB stick, you are REPLACING the virtual memory cards that currently exist. If
you make a copy to USB from your own PlayStation 3 copy of Fire Pro Wrestling
Return's .VME files, then turn around and download some .VME's available online
to check out, once you copy the .VME you downloaded into the NPUD21702
directory and overwrite it, that virtual memory card will be GONE.
Always make sure you back up .VME files when swapping
virtual memory cards & saves.

PS3_directory.zip

For ease of following this tutorial, I recommend you find a directory and unzip each of
these tools into it. When extracted, it should look like this:
3
Step 2
Find a .max file of the save for conversion
For ease of use, put the .max in the same directory that was extracted from the
PS3_directory.zip provided above.
4
Step 3
Convert from .max to .psu
Open up PS2SaveConverter.exe and you'll see the following software pop up:
5
Click Open, browse to the .max file, and select it.
Once selected, the window should look like the following image.
Click Save, and for ease, save it into the same location as the .max file.
6
Step 4
Load the .psu file into a clean/formatted .ps2 file
mymc-gui.exe is found in the MemCardConvTools_v4\tools\mymc directory:
7
Once the program is opened, it will automatically ask to browse for a .ps2 file. Go into
the formattedmemcards directory and select Mcd001.ps2.
The window should now look like the following image.
8
Click second icon near the top with the green arrow. This is the icon that will import the
.psu into the .ps2 file. Once clicked, find the .psu file.
Once it loads, mymc-gui should look like the following image.
Close mymc-gui.
9
Step 5
Rename the .ps2 file to .vmc
Easy to do, the formattedmemcards directory should look like the following image.
10
Step 6
Encrypt the .vmc file
Find PS2Classics_GUI.exe in the MemCardConvTools_v4\tools directory:
11
Open it and the window will look something like below. Select the Encrypt tab, and click
the Encrypt VMC button.
12
Browse and find the .vmc file.
13
It will immediately ask you where you want to save the .VME file, I'd recommend the
formattedmemcards directory for now:
14
The PS2Classics_GUI.exe should look similar to this when completed.
15
Step 7
Rename the .vme file
The formattedmemcards directory should look like the following image.
Rename that Mcd001.vme file to SCEVMC0.VME (that's a zero, not an O).
NOTE:
If you'd like for the newly created .VME to show up as the 2nd memory card on
the PlayStation 3, make sure and name it SCEVMC1.VME.
16
Step 8
Overwrite the virtual memory card data in the PS3 directory
Navigate to PS3\EXPORT\PS2SD\NPUD21702.
Copy the newly renamed .VME file into this directory. Overwrite when prompted.
17
Step 9
Copy the PS3 directory to a FAT32 formatted USB Drive
Now you can copy the PS3 directory right in the main directory of a USB Drive.
Now enjoy the converted save on PlayStation 3!
