BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES

This Weeks Birthday Celebrants are:

A Litany of Hope

Leader: O God, we light the first candle of Advent, and as we gather

now to worship, we join our hearts to pray. Our souls are filled with

wonder as we celebrate our faith.

Congregation: We kindle it with hope. We long for You to come to our

world, to break through and reign with compassion and peace. Through

faith we claim the promise. Come, Lord Jesus come!

Leader: As we look at the light of this candle, we celebrate the hope

we have in Jesus Christ.

Congregation: Come, Emmanuel, come! Let every land proclaim it; let

every voice be raised. Let valleys be exalted and let every mountain be

made plain.

Leader: Mighty God, Creator of the world, break through all that

separates us from You. We ask for Your mercy. Our hope is that You

will re-form us in Your image. This Advent, visit us with Your justice,

love, and peace. Amen.

wedding anniversary listed and want to have it listed, help us

out. *Email your name, birthday and/or wedding anniversary

dates to [email protected]. We want to promote the

biblical joys of life.

PLANNING TO RELOCATE? FBC members may find it necessary

to relocate out of the area from their church. When the time to

relocate occurs, we encourage you to share this with your Koino-

nia Deacon, the church office, and/or our Senior Pastor. No

matter the reason for your departure, we want the opportunity

to express our love and gratitude for your kingdom service and

send you with a blessing. Give notice of your pending departure

to the church office ([email protected]) AT LEAST TWO

WEEKS prior to your last Sunday with us.

FBC "ONE CALL NOW" MESSAGES: We want to keep FBC mem-

bers aware of major church/community events and any changes

to worship services. We do this by sending out a recorded "One

Call Now" telephone message to all members. If you have NOT

been receiving these vital messages, please contact the church

office ([email protected]) and provide us with a pre-

ferred telephone number to receive these important alerts.

*Communication is key to effective ministry/unity in the body of

Christ. Blessings!

FBC NEWS CONTINUED… FBC WOMEN, GUESTS & FRIENDS: FBC now offers the option of Lap Scarves for any female who desires to sit on the front row pews, in the pulpit, or the pew in the very back of the sanctuary (beyond the Media Booth) during worship services. Ushers will inform women and young ladies, who desire to sit in these areas, of the availability of lap scarves for comfort and cover-up. *It is an option only, not required. Sunday School Lesson This Week

December 3: Acts 3:11-21. “Seeking Wholeness.” Much like the

lame man who daily begged alms at Beautiful Gate at Solomon’s

Colonnade, we all seek physical, mental, emotional, or even, fi-

nancial well-being. Peter uses the miracle of the healing of the

lame man as an occasion to bear witness to the saving and healing

power of God. In today’s lesson Peter explains where, from whom,

and when true wholeness comes.
