The BIG BILL® FLASHTRAP Vented Shirt is the latest development to improve wearer comfort without sacrificing protection for both Flash Fire & Arc Flash exposures. Below are the three primary Patent Pending features of Big Bill’s FlashTrap: 1) Upper Back Vented Traps Located along both sides of the back, these vents allow the hot air, which circulates upwards to be pushed outward, exiting the coverall, keeping you cool. 2) Vented Traps Designed to Auto-Close During Exposure.Our Vented Traps are specially designed to shut down automatically when flash or arc flash exposures occur. When enough air pressure pushes through the air vent trap pockets, the mesh lining conforms to the outer shell creating an impermeable trap to prevent the flame source from causing potentially worse injuries. This unique lock channel design prevents any flame source from coming into direct contact with the skin and only allows free flowing air to enter.
