This term our topic is Castaway. We will be following the National Curriculum whilst exploring island, beach and sea life. During our time in lockdown, I hope to help the chil- dren increase their knowledge of these themes to prepare them for their learning once back at school full time. Each week, the English and Foundation subjects will be based around a book that relates to the topic. I will post a video of the book in Vimeo and the slides will include key pages of the book. This week we are starting with the fun rhyming story, Commotion in the Ocean by Giles Andreae. English and Maths will be planned weekly with short ac- tivites to be completed each day when possible. Please adapt this to fit your own home timetable and routines. I will also upload Foundation subject slides that will include ideas to help children engage with the topic whilst learning about Science, History, Geography and the Arts.
