We strongly believe that the design service, in addition to new product development, is critical to responding seamlessly to the clients’ needs. Flexibility in product design, choice of material, production method and balance between product manufacturing and appropriate timeframe regardless of ordered quantity is one of key goals. The other main goal is to maintain flexibility in our job scope from the design phase to the production phase, and in working in teams with other companies. In all, these goals add to our ultimate objective of providing better service and ensuring satisfaction of our valued clients.

The name “Flexiplan Design” reflects the two key pillars of our brand. “Flexiplan” has been both our company’s name and brand name for 30 years, and the name was inspired by the goal of setting up a company that offers maximum flexibility for and compatibility with the clients’ needs and satisfaction. We do not need to be a big company. We are instead a streamlined organization that is responsive to the pace and demands of big projects. We also conduct our business ethically – we strictly adhere to transactions that are honest and transparent to all stakeholders. The name ‘Flexiplan’ today still rings true to who we are as it did on the day the company was founded. Flexibility signified by the name also applies to how we strive to continuously evolve and develop to suit the increasingly challenging and diverse projects our clients trust us to undertake.

The second part of our name, “Design”, is linked to the vision of the company’s founder from day one. Initially our design was limited to good, robust products. Currently, our design capability has expanded to include design and decoration for entire projects, and from focusing on workplace fitting to other types of space including residents, shops and educational premises. The design arm of our business is a key strength that does not only add value to our product manufacturing arm but also sets us apart from our competitors. We are no longer just a manufacturer aiming to produce quality goods; we are also a design service provider who can offer maximum value in the products and services that we have expertise in.

Flexiplan has extended its international partnership and business connection to the Asia-Pacific region and China with the aim to exchange and co-develop products, and cater for the growth in the AEC and global market. Flexiplan’s main partners are TaZ Corporation, Sdn Bhd (System Furniture manufacturer and exporter based in Malaysia), and other furniture manufacturers in the region.

The continuous growth from a small workshop to a modern factory with cutting-edge technolgy to a project-based furniture manufacturer to an active member of an international network has built Flexiplan from a merchandise production company into an end-to-end product and service provider of quality furniture and space design.

Our capacity in design and project management has earned us the trust from our clients to provide them with various services including designing, decorating, fitting out, and supplying furniture. Flexiplan Design Co.,Ltd. was founded by Mr. Bovornsakdi Krisadaphong, architect and product designer, as a small furniture manufacturing and export company with an authorized capital of one million Baht.

Flexiplan had substantially grown into a multimillion dollar company that focused on ‘quality for efficiency’ in furniture manufacturing.Flexiplan integrated technology and machinery from Homag Group, Germany, in its production line. Flexiplan was considered among the most innovative and progressive furniture manufacturers at the time.

With full production capacity coupled with expertise in project management from the Managing Director, Mr. Senat Chaiyakul, Flexiplan was able to manufacture for many large-scale projects. The increased level of involvement in large and complex projects led to the move toward a more flexible way of manufacturing. Flexiplan started to focus on tailoring for each project with customized rather than mass-produced goods.

Flexiplan partnered with furniture import companies that focused on high-end European furniture as well as invested in new product development. Flexiplan also expanded the business to manufacturing prefabricated timber homes, ‘Baan Natura’.

Mr. Bovornsakdi Krisadaphong had a degree in Architecture and Industrial Design. Prior to founding Flexiplan Design in 1982, he had been a Design Center Manager at Berli Jucker (Thailand) for 7 years. He combined marketing, manage-ment skills and knowledge in effi-cient production gained from Berli Jucker with his architectural and design skills in growing Flexiplan. The company has grown substan-tially from the strong foundation. He has led by example, highlighting the importance of ethical business models for the next generation of Flexiplan Design management. Mr. Krisadaphong is now Senior Advisor to the management team.

Prior to joining Flexiplan in 1993, Mr. Chaiyakul had had a career in Marketing, Sales and Finance at international firms. Mr Chiyakul was Mr. Bovornsakdi Krisadaphong’s successor in his role as Managing Director. In 2006, He took the lead in transforming Flexiplan from a manufacturer to a successful project management firm. Mr. Chaiyakul’s vast experience in project management has contributed to forecasting risks often missed by stakeholders, resulting in timely and thorough advice for the clients. Also, his background in finance and belief that clients are long-term partners have encouraged our clients to invest in projects with Flexiplan with confidence.

Mr. Kwin Krisadaphong has an Industrial Design degree and an Engineering degree with a focus in manufacturing management. His expertise is in both the technicality and management of product and interior design. He commenced his work at Flexiplan in 1999, and is now Assistant Managing Director looking particularly after product manufacturing, international business development, and proect-based design. Mr. Kwin Krisadaphong sees the need to connect furniture and space, hence the drive towards assisting clients in space management in addition to supplying best-quality furniture.

Mr Krerkwich Krisadaphong graduated with degrees in business management and marketing, and has been part of Flexiplan since 2001. His role is in internal management, human resources development and business development for prefabricated home and Baan Natura timber home range. The business development experience has led him to study and adopt the art of Feng Shui. He has published his study on the scientific basis of Feng Shui, and has used this knowledge in client services including project location and design as fitting to a particular project. He strongly believes in ethics before progress, fair dealings with clients, end-to-end responsibility for the clients’ projects, and personal after-sales service.

The team’s ultimate goal is to ensure Flexiplan’s production line remains highly flexible in producing fewer but more diverse products. The team is highly experienced in special order products. Also, the fact that Flexiplan produces in its own factory enables maximum control of the quality and timeframe of production.

The idea for Baan Natura was conceived when we started designing steel-structure prefabricated houses complete with interior design and internal systems for exporting to Japan. In 2004, Flexiplan began developing designs and manufacturing prefabricated houses using imported pinewood. The houses come complete with installation service, electrical, plumbing and waste management systems, and interior designing under the brand ‘Baan Natura’. Baan Natura is designed for everyday living and the possibilities for future extension. The short installation timeframe, excellent product quality assurance, production using state-of-the-art machinery, warranty and after-sales service are among the many features of Baan Natura. Our expertise in manufacturing timber products has enabled us to expand the business to importing top quality pinewood for building and decorating homes where residents could feel closer to nature and experience the distinctiveness of a timber home. 23 / 32
