Fully Integrated Solution

FLNG presents a demanding set of challenges that must be factored into the design. The integrated expertise of KBR, Granherne, GVA and Energo allows us to meet every challenge, delivering the most comprehensive, well-considered solution for your specific project.

Top Down. Bottom Up. We solve challenges at every level.

As the promise of floating liquefaction facilities becomes reality, there are only a handful of companies with theability to integrate the design of liquefaction plants with the challenges of working offshore. From our 75-year offshore history, including executing large floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities, to our 40 plus years delivering complex LNG projects worldwide, to our significant involvement in leading floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) studies, KBR is one of those companies. KBR has the expertise to develop and lead projects to completion, mitigate risks and manage interfaces—whether offshore or near shore.

■■ Committed to Zero Harm to people, environment and property with an industry-leading safety record

■■ Technology neutral to develop the optimal plant configuration for each field

■■ A comprehensive breadth of service offerings in FLNG, FPSO and LNG projects, backed by extensive benchmarking data, knowledge and lessons learned

■■ Experienced EPC contractor leading projects with the top fabricators worldwide

■■ Supply chain experience including LNG specialist suppliers, turret and marine systems

■■ Global procurement including more than 18,000 companies and vendors in 109 countries around the world

■■ Unrivaled logistics expertise with more than 20+ million tons transported 8+ million miles in the past 12 years

FPSOSince executing its first FPSO vessel conversion in 1977, KBR has executed some of the world’s largest, most demanding facilities. Engineered and built to withstand some of the most inhospitable environments and water depths greater than 7,000 feet, many of our vessels, such as the Gryphon Field FPSO in the central North Sea, have been in service for up to 22 years.

Modularization KBR has been at the forefront of study and design enhancements in modular construction and has worked with most of the major module fabrication yards in the world. These long standing relationships assist us in providing HSE assurance, quality assurance, structural integrity assurance and on-time delivery while minimizing on-site hook-up and commissioning.

FPSO Expertise + LNG Experience + Modularization Experience = Innovative FLNG Designs

A History of Success

Integrating Offshore and LNG Experience

LNGKBR is responsible for one third of the world’s operating LNG capacity and has designed the full range of LNG train configurations from 0.5 Mt/a to 8.0 Mt/a. KBR is an LNG pioneer that is continually evolving to meet the demands of an ever-changing LNG landscape – large or small, onshore, offshore or near shore, lump sum, reimbursable or hybrid contracting basis, no project is too challenging for us.

FLNGOur participation in more than 35 FLNG studies, including the first joint industry study in 1997, and our experience as a FLNG thought leader with published papers and presentations, is helping to advance FLNG development from concept to commercialization. KBR recently completed the FEED for the Coral South Development Project in Mozambique, Africa.

KBR designed the 21,000-tonne topsides for Glen Lyon FPSO, which will be deployed West of Shetland Islands in one of the harshest marine climates in the world as part of BP’s Quad 204 Redevelopment project.

KBR provided FEED, EPC, and commissioning and operations services for the Skikda LNG complex located in Algeria with gas sourced from the Hassi R’mel fields.
