preventing flooding

FLOODING

Flooding occurs when too much ink flows into the nib, which causes it to blob out and is usually due to excess pumping of the nib. (See activating line painters)

You only need to press the nib once for 2 seconds on the first use.

If the pen is flooding uncontrollably;

1. Wipe the nib.

OVER-PUMP the pens.

2. Turn the pen uprght with the nib pointing upwards.

3. Pump the nib down to allow the ink to flow back into the pen. 4. Wipe the nib.
