LAUNCH OF NEW SCL FACILITIES

NYP-bioMerieux Food Microbiology Rapid Testing Centre

The NYP-bioMérieux Food Microbiology Rapid Testing Centre was officially opened in June 2017. The partnership offers joint workshops for industry and students in research and development work. The Centre will focus on rapid food testing and validation. Companies can send their food samples for testing and receive results in half the time. This benefits food manufacturers as they can push their products into the market, and clear the import-export inspection quicker.

NYP-Pall Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Biologics Manufacturing Technologies

The new centre in Biologics Manufacturing Technologies was officially opened in SCL in January 2018. It is a collaboration with Pall Life Sciences to offer the first one-stop integrated training centre for the industry. The centre showcases single-use technologies including chromatography column packing and filter integrity testing apparatus. More than 300 SCL students will be introduced to the latest technologies available.

SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE - A SINGAPORE PERSPECTIVE

The conference was a platform for industry, academia and regulators to network and share the latest R&D findings related to aquaculture vaccines, diagnostics, and sustainable aquaculture practices in Singapore. Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of National Development, Dr Koh Poh Koon, was the Guest-of-Honour for this conference. Over 70 industry guests participated in this event.

BETTER INNOVATION IN SUGAR REDUCTION SEMINAR
