FACAMP, FACULDADES DE CAMPINASABOUT USFACAMP, Faculdades de Campinas, is a privately owned college, founded in the year
2000. In less than a decade, its innovative educational project has gained the respect
of the Brazilian academic community, as well as the recognition of our dynamic labour
market, which has created more than 16.7 million jobs since 2000.
FACAMP is located in Campinas, the 13th richest city in Brazil, with a population of one
million and a GDP of U$19 billion. Campinas is a one-hour (90km) ride from São Paulo,
Brazil’s major city and its economic centre. Viracopos Campinas Airport is a busy hub and
has around 200 daily take-offs to all major cities and regions in Brazil. There are also
daily flights to the US and Europe.
The city of Campinas has an acknowledged vocation for technological innovation and is
surrounded by many renowned universities, technology research centres, and high value
global enterprises, such as 3M, Bosch, Honda, Motorola, Pirelli, Samsung, among others.
Over the years, FACAMP has established strong links with the manufacturing and financial
sectors providing a privileged locus for common learning and research.
FACAMP´s campus spreads over 100.000 m2, with sustainable landscaping, more than
a thousand native trees and 22 thousand orchid plants. The campus incorporates ample
modern buildings and common spaces for student interaction.
Originally aimed to excel in human sciences, FACAMP offers undergraduate courses in
Business Administration, Law, Economics, International Relations, Publicity and Marketing. Since 2007, FACAMP has expanded to include Technology and Creative
Industry, providing undergraduate courses in Computer, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. As of 2014, FACAMP now has a little under 3,000 undergraduate students,
which approaches the planned maximum number of students.
Our graduate school offers five different MBA Programs and totals 500 students. “Inter-
national Business” is the main field of interest for graduate programs, as a joint effort of
our International Relations, Economics, Law, Business and Industrial Engineering courses as
well as our business networks.
FACAMP is engaged in increasing partnerships abroad to create new opportunities for
student and faculty exchange in renowned academic centres in the USA and Europe.
Among others, we have already established exchange agreements with ICN Business
School, Nancy, France, with the Law School, University of Modena, Italy, and we are
partners with the Seminaire BRICS, Sorbonne University, France.
FACAMP is also associated to IAESTE through ABIPE, aiming to get international job
experience for our students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
As our graduate programs expand, FACAMP is also intensifying research cooperation
agreements both in Europe and the US, and through them, with the BRICs countries.
Our recent agreements with ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the
Caribbean) and ILO (International Labour Organization) are examples in this direction.
MISSIONFACAMP`s mission is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence.
FACAMP’s core values are freedom of thought and expression, freedom from discrimination and ethical behaviour.
