The Green solution

The motorized folding machines from CIDAN are the right solution for any company who is looking for flexibility in the production and has an environmentally friendly approach with the aim of cutting down on costs.

The green advantages CIDAN folding machines are only using power when the machine is actually working. This

means less costs for electricity. A typical hydraulic driven press-brake or folding machine will use an additional 1300-2000 hours of energy, just to keep the hydraulic unit running during 1 shift.

CIDAN folding machines are not using oil as it is a mechanical machine. This means that there will be no yearly oil changes, and consequently less costs for oil use / changes and maintenance.

The folding machines are quick at start up with a very low noise level during operation. This is an improvement of the work environment for the operator. Noise levels of hydraulics are typically 60-70 dB, our folding machines make ”no noise”!

Flexibility advantages• CIDAN folding machines only require one operator

• The operator does not have to be a specialist

• CIDAN folding machines can be delivered with a Combi Beam that includes both a straight tool and box-tools. Tool change takes less than 15 seconds and special tooling is seldom required

Cidan´s power folder model KM is made in a sturdy all-welded steel construction. As standard both the folding beam and the clamping beam have twin drives.

A strong eccentric that almost eliminates wear and tear moves the clamping beam and gives the best possible opening and closing speeds.

Model KM has a potentiometer control for adjustment of the clamping beam height. The folding angle is set via a graduated scale.

K15 / PF

K15/PF is an extremely quick and user friendly folding machine, built in a sturdy construction. As standard the machine has CNC control and motorized back gauge.

An eccentric drive that minimizes wear and gives the best possible opening and closing speeds drives the clamping beam. Furthermore, this gives the best possible clamping pressure.

Built heavy duty, model K25/PFP is fast and very easy to use. Both the folding beam and the clamping beam have twin drives.

As standard model K25/PFP is supplied with CNC-control and motorized back gauge, and it can also be equipped with our unique Combi Clamping Beam.

The patented Combi Clamping Beam (option) with automatic locking makes it possible to change tools in less than 15 seconds!

With the Combi Clamping Beam, tooling is programmed directly in the control, and thus the tool change is made automatically.

FUTURA

FUTURA

Based on the Pro-line series model FUTURA is a new and patented development especially for the segment of 1.5-3.0 mm (16 ga-11 ga) sheets. The FUTURA is built in a modern and new design, and at the same time it is extremely flexible in its construction. As standard model FUTURA is delivered with graphic CNC control. FUTURA may be provided with Combi Clamping Beam, prepared for tools up to 200 mm

(7.87”) height. Change of tool height does not require any machine change. FUTURA may also be provided with the Multifold tool system, i.e. with divided tools in

lower and folding beams. Multifold includes height adjustable back gauge and must be combined with the Combi Clamping Beam. In this way all 3 beams will hold divided rails, making it possible to fold even very complicated profiles. Futura is patented due to several revolutionary construction solutions.

FUTURA PLUS

FUTURA PLUS

FUTURA PLUS adds a further development to our FUTURA series, and with the increased capacity it is possible to fold e.g - 3.0 mm (11 ga) thick sheet at 3 meters (10 feet) length.

As standard model FUTURA PLUS is delivered with graphic CNC control. As standard FUTURA PLUS has twin drive of the folding beam with 2 motores

– one at each side of the folding beam. FUTURA PLUS is offered with Combi Clamping Beam, prepared for tools up to 200 mm height.

Change of tool height does not require any machine change. FUTURA PLUS is also offered with the Multifold tool system, i.e. with divided tools in lower and folding

beams. Multifold includes height adjustable back gauge and must be combIned with the Combi Clamping Beam. In this way all 3 beams will hold divided rails, making it possible to fold even very complicated profiles.

Futura Plus is patented due to several revolutionary construction solutions.

PROLINO

PROLINO

PROLINO is the basic machine in our Pro-Line series. The machine construction ensures today´s high demand to accuracy and productivity with minimum maintenance.

As standard PROLINO is delivered with graphic CNC control and motorized back gauge. PROLINO may be delivered with our unique Combi Clamping Beam with quick change

tools, 150 mm (5.9”) high. If delivered with Combi Clamping Beam PROLINO may also be delivered with Multifold

tools, i.e. with divided lower beam and folding beam rails, including height adjustable back gauge.

Prolino has extra power reserves for hemming.

Model PRO is one of our top models for productivity and accuracy with a variety of standard features. As standard model PRO is delivered with Combi Clamping Beam with 150 mm (5.9”)

divided quick change tools, but may also be delivered with a 250 mm (9.84”) high divided rail. The tool height is controlled automatically. Folding beam crowning and adjustment of sheet thickness are fully programmable

in the ProLink graphic CNC control. Another standard feature is the MULTIFOLD tool system with divided lower beam and

folding beam quick change tools, also including the height adjustable back gauge.

The operator can edit the standard profiles already stored in the control or draw a new himself.When a standard profile is used as basis the lengths and angles diversifying from the standard profile must be changed. Following this, the control calculates cutting measures and finishes the program. The control guides the operator through the folding cycle and shows how to turn the sheet in the machine.When the graphic programming of a profile is used the control makes a collision control. Thus, the control will inform the operator whether it is possible to fold the programmed profile.

Furthermore, the operator may program manually without using the graphics.If the machine is equipped with such features the ProLink may also control adjustment of sheet thickness, crowning of folding beam rail, adjustment of folding center, and Combi Clamping Beam rotation.

Programs for off line programming are available so that folding program can be prepared on an external PC instead of having to do the programming on the machine itself. Finished programs may then be transferred to the machine via networks or an USB stick.

Cidan´s largest manual folding machine - model BMF - is built following the principle 4-in-one. With this principle model BMF can at a later date simply and easily be changed from one model to the other - no matter which model was originally chosen.

Model BMF is heavily built, and the eccentric movement makes it quick and easy to use. Clamping beam and folding beam are gas spring assisted. The machine angles 0-180° can easily be set. The lower beam is prepared for fitting of a rack-and-pinion back gauge. The finger blades and the divided 45° high rail can be built together from 25 mm (1”) to

full working length with 5 mm (0.200”) intervals.

MULTIKANT

Multikant is available in 2 executions. In the standard execution the tools are mounted in the clamping beam by a clamping rail.

In quick change execution the tools are fitted without any use of hand tools.

Clamping beam rail and lower beam rail have right and left horns. Lower beam and folding beam have recesses right and left. The clamping beam can be operated by hand lever and by foot pedal. For most folding tasks the clamping beam is only opened 2-3 mm (1/8”)

to move the sheet. Therefore, on each side of the side frame a pedal is placed, allowing the clamping beam to open max. 6-7mm (1/4”).

Clamping beam and folding beam are gas spring assisted. The clamping pressure can be adjusted by means of an adjusting

eccentric. Pre-stress of the folding rail can be adjusted by an adjustment screw to

compensate spring back of material. Screw to compensate spring back of material.

Cidan´s box-and-pan folder model Multikant has segmented rails in the clamping beam, in lower beam, and in folding beam. With this tooling combination it is easy and quick to fold boxes and profiles.
