MGB: The Racing Story(John Baggott)Arguably the most popular British sports car ever built, the MGB has competed in every form of motor sport. Much has previously been written about the ‘works cars’ but John Baggott covers new ground, tracing the subse quent history of some of the well known after they had passed into private hands. Includes the MGB roadster, MGB GT, MGC and the MGB GT V8, and also that of the Elva Courier, Gilbern GT1800, Ginetta Gil and TVR Grantura and the unique WSM MGB, all of which competed using MGB engines and, in some cases, running gear. MGB and MGC(Jonathan Edwards)Introduced at the London Motor Show in 1962. The MGB became the most successful British Sports Car of all time, with over 500.000 built before production ended in 1980. Superbly illustrated throughout with color photos, including detail shots, this book offers a concise text with comprehensive spec tables. PB, 18 x 24CM, 96 pages, color pictures

How to give your MGB V-8 power(Roger Williams)The MGB GTV8 of the 1970’s and, more recently, the MGB RV8 roadster demonstrated how the Rover V8 engine could transform one of the best-loved British sports cars into an accomplished grand tourer with phenomenal road performance. Original GTV8s are rare and the RV8 is very expensive, but with the aid of this book you’ll have all the information you need to build a Rover V8-powered MGB roadster or GT. No matter whether you intend to convert an existing four-cylinder car or build a car based on a donor car and a new Heritage body shell, this book contains all the advice you need to build the car of your dreams at the smallest possible cost. 190.805Jaguar XK120, XK140, XK150 Sports Cars (Introduction by Karl Ludvigsen)No sports car introduction in history has had the impact of Jaguar’s XK120 in 1948. Thrust into a dreary post-war world was a stunningly gorgeous roadster, its styling inspired by the best pre-war Italian design, powered by a magnificent 3.5 Liter in-line six developing 160 horsepower. Its twin-cam hemispherical-cham-ber head was a dramatic advance for British production cars. Exotic cars all, the XK-series of sports Jaguars are among the world’s most glamorous. Rare photos trace their history on road and track and give an intimate portrait of the sports cars that raised the bar for Jaguar’s opposition and cemented the compa ny’s reputation for fast, stylish cars. Jaguar MkI & MkII Saloons(Andrea & David Sparrow)Jaguar’s small saloon car was introduced in 1955 to complement the company’s successful sports cars and luxury saloons; it was the marque’s first monocoque-bodied production car. The MkII was launched four years later, at which time the first cars became known retrospectively as “MkI.” The MkII 3.8 was one of the fastest production cars of its time, making it a favorite on the race track as well as on the roads. The cars were all finished to a high standard of luxury in wood and leather.PB, 19.2 x 18CM, 80 pages, color pictures

This market leading, cost-effective range of electronically published technical information - few manufacturers other than Jaguar come close to providing the owner with such a comprehensive back-catalogue of manuals and documents - may be subdivided into three complementary subject groups: Parts and Service Publications, Supplementary Model and Service Information and Parts and Service Bulletins. Historically, significant amounts of valuable service information were never incorporated into updated service manuals, and only by also studying the supplementary information and bulletin CDs can these information gaps be bridged. It is therefore highly recommended that owners seek to acquire CDs covering all three of the aforementioned subjects to ensure they have as much information as necessary to effectively service their Jaguar or Daimler motor car.

ANGLO PARTS BELGIUMS I N C E 1 9 8 2

Anglo Parts, one of Europe’s favorite parts suppliers for classic British sports cars, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2007.

The business began when Chris Van Gestel bought an MGB at the age of 16 and found it difficult to buy parts in mainland Europe. Bruno joined him in their embryonic business and starting with MGBs and MGAs they have gradually expanded to embrace Triumph Spitfires and TRs, Austin-Healeys, Minis and T-type MGs, Midgets, MGFs, Jaguars and

more recently Land Rover Defenders. Anglo Parts has a very comprehensive stock and produces superb catalogues which are designed and compiled in-house with an intimate knowledge of what customers require to help them. Anglo

Parts has it’s own branches in Holland, Italy and Germany, and dedicated franchises in France, Spain, Holland, Luxembourg and Hungary. The level of stocking is such that the shelving in the HQ stores near Brussels would stretch 4 kms if all laid out end-to-end. To maintain supply and avoid dependence on one, or just a handful of suppliers, Anglo

Parts has no less than 300 companies from whom they source parts. They have also invested massively in buying large quantities of obsolete stock or having special tooling made. Examples range from special fasteners to 1000 pairs of

MGA rear wings and spoilers. Chris & Bruno, even 25 years on, are still passionate about their company and the cars, and retain all their initial enthusiasm. Their original hobby is still their favorite hobby!
