1 Cut a square.

4 Fold sides in.

7 Open corners.

10 Only the top will peek out from your page, but you can decorate the bottom half, too!


2 Fold in half. 3 Bend corner back to middle.

5 Fold sides out. 6 Bend corners in half.

8 Tuck into pocket. 9 Cut out a tongue, teeth, ears, eyes, etc. with separate paper. Have fun!

Origami FlowerTake a single sheet of used paper and make origami with it. It’s easy to learn how to make simple flowers and abstract shapes. You can even make paper cranes and hang them with string to use as a decoration.

Follow these steps to grow your own tulip.

To get started, cut your paper into a square shape.

After cutting your square, fold your square diagonally in half.

Then fold the other side on top.

Fold the right side of paper in a 60 degree angle from mid-point.

Pinch the mid-point of the triangle.

Ta-da! Repeat the steps above to grow more tulip flowers. They enjoy sun or shade and do not require any water!

Fun Ways to Re-Use Paper at Home Origami Flower

Follow these steps to attach your tulip to a leaf and stem. Make a bouquet!

Fold the sides toward the center and fold in half.

Fold the bottom and crease well.

Unfold and crease the folds from the previous step.

Finally, assemble both parts together with glue or tape. Repeat steps to make a bouquet.
