Renewals are due on 1st May, so to spread the work load of renewing over 750

members, we will start to take membership renewals at the February meeting.

Visit Hodsock Priory, near Blyth for a guided tour of the House followed by light

luncheon and the opportunity to see the bluebells in flower.

Architecture GroupChange of venue as from November 7th (the first Tuesday of the month) we will now meet

'Between The Covers Book Group’

The Group now meets at The Pearson Centre, 2 Nuart Rd, Beeston,

Nottingham, NG9 2NH.

Interested in joining the Bowls Group?Meeting at Nottingham Indoor Bowls Centre, Beechdale Road, Bilborough.

We are now taking names for the next tuition session.

Bowls GroupBowl sessions are arranged for all Fridays at 10.30am lasting 2 hours - all members welcome.Numbers are gradually increasing and we had 8 persons attending which meant we had 2 lanes open.However, the other two weekly roll-up sessions are Mondays 12.30pm – 2.30pm, and Thursdays 2.30pm –4.30pm. U3A bowlers were invited to just turn up to these sessions, and play with their U3A friends.

Military History Group

This Group has previously met on 2 occasions if you are interested in

Astronomy Group

Richard Dinsdale has spent a great deal of time and energy trying to get

the Astronomy group going. He would like the group to move forward and a

further meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 30th January 2018 at 10am in

the Wesley room at Beeston Methodist Church, Chilwell.

Games GroupA suggestion has been put forward to start up a

Games Group for members wanting to play board or card games of all sorts such as Upwords, Sequence, Dominoes and many more. If you are interested in a sociable morning/afternoon out and enjoy playing games why not think about starting up this group. Beeston U3A already have groups such as Canasta,

Rummikub and Scrabble.If you are interested in facilitating or joining, please
