207 Field Hospital Newsletter 207 (Manchester) Field Hospital is part of the Army Medical Services (AMS) Reserve. As a Field Hospital, 207 provides secondary health care which can be deployed anywhere in the world to provide medical care to our armed forces, coalition partners or civilian patients. Fully deployed, the Field Hospital provides an emergency department, operating theatres, nursing and ITU beds, plus a full range of diagnostic services and other clinical departments. With an established strength of over 200 personnel, most of our staff are civilian clinicians and need to be qualified as such before joining us; but there is also a critical role to be played by other key support staff so we also require dedicated chefs, drivers and logistic personnel (all of whom are trained by the Army to a high standard) without them our hospital simply wouldn’t work. If you’re interested in helping to make ‘The Best’ better, come and meet us by making an appointment to drop in at one of our Army Reserve centres in Stretford, Bury or Stockport contact us on Tel: 0161 232 4985 or e-mail [email protected] What have we been doing recently Over the last year we have been very busy. The Unit completed its two week annual camp which was held in Longmoor and were tested on basic Soldiering skills. This provided excellent field training with each section fighting it out for the best overall team. We also undertook Adventure Training in Langdale where the two teams climbed peaks in the Lake District. The most recent adventure was a party that deployed to Ypres on an educational tour of the battlefield and memorials and Participated in the Menin Gate Parade.

What have we been doing recently

Over the last year we have been very busy. The Unit completed its two week annual camp which was held in Longmoor and were tested on basic Soldiering skills. This provided excellent field training with

each section fighting it out for the best overall team. We also undertook Adventure Training in Langdale where the two teams climbed peaks in the Lake District. The most recent adventure was a party that deployed to Ypres on an educational tour of the battlefield and memorials and Participated

in the Menin Gate Parade.
