Ans. There is no significant adverse impact on existing facilities adjacent to the project site by the
proposed project since adequate measures are proposed to mitigate the impact. Further the
proposed project is in accordance with the Development Plan and thereby no alteration in land
use pattern of the area. .
1.4 Will there any significant land disturbance resulting in erosion, subsidence & instability?
(Details of soil type, slope analysis, vulnerability to subsidence, seismicity etc may be

Ans.
No land disturbance resulting in the erosion, subsidence or instability shall occur due to
proposed project owing to proper construction practices, storm water management and
adequate soil management techniques.
The project site is flat terrain land. To control soil erosion by rain water, rain water harvesting
and adequate plantation is proposed at site. The project site comes under Seismic Zone-III and
the building structure will be designed in accordance with the norms.

Ans: No, the proposed project will not alter the existing natural drainage system. Effective storm
water drainage and suitable rain water management practices shall be followed to maintain the
exiting drainage pattern.

reclamation etc. (Give details of the quantities of earthwork involved, transport of fill
materials from outside the site etc?)
Ans: All top soil excavated will be used for landscaping and lower level soil will be used for back
filling. Surplus earth will be dumped in the low lying areas defined by the Government. All
necessary arrangements will be made to avoid spreading of dust.

Ans.: No, there will be no health hazard from the construction debris and solid waste since adequate
precautionary measures are proposed to safeguard human health. Like Barricade the periphery
by corrugated tin sheets of appropriate height & sprinkling of water on the roads.
However, project authorities have proposed to provide face masks, gloves and other personal
protective equipments to prevent health hazard during construction activities.
During the construction phase, approx. 100 workers per day will be working. Temporary
Toilets will be provided which will be operated and maintained by external agency.

2.10 What precautions / measures are taken to prevent the run-off from construction

Ans.: Following measures are proposed in project to control run off from construction site:
Proper storm water drainage system comprising of lined drains is proposed.
Boundary wall will be constructed around the site.
Use of leak proof containers for storage oil to avoid contamination of runoff.

Ans.: Effective storm water drainage system has been proposed within the site. The Excess Storm
Water from other paved and unpaved areas is channelized using internal storm water drains

Ans.: No, there is no threat to the biodiversity due to the proposed project since no endangered/rare
species are found nearby project site. Further adequate plantation of endemic species is
proposed so as to retain diversity.

detailed account of the trees & vegetation affected by the project)
Ans.: No cutting of trees is involved and the site preparation activity shall only involve clearing of
vegetation and bushes. Further project proponent proposes tree plantation as per
norms/guidelines.

site features (Give details of proposal for tree plantation, landscaping, creation of water

Ans.: The amended part has 432.10 m2 green belt area in which 38 numbers of trees will be planted.
Local and fast growing species shall be planted and green belt will be developed for control of
pollution and aesthetic view of the site.

4. FAUNA
4.1. Is there likely to be any displacement of fauna-both terrestrial and aquatic or creation of

Ans.: No, there will be no displacement of aquatic animals by the proposed project. There will be
insignificant displacement of burrowing organisms from the project site to near by areas. To
mitigate the adverse impact, adequate number of trees will be planted at site and green cover
shall be provided for shelter of fauna.

Ans.: No direct or indirect impact on avifauna is envisaged since no tree cutting is involved, further
plantation of additional trees shall serve as abode for the avifauna.

5. AIR ENVIRONMENT
5.1. Will the project increase atmospheric concentration of gases & result in heat islands?

models taking into account the increased traffic generation as a result of the proposed
constructions)
Ans.: This project will not result in any kind of heat islands due to vehicular emissions. To reduce
the gaseous emission from vehicle, proper entry/exit is proposed in the project with adequate
wide internal road.
5.2. What are the impacts on generation of dust, smoke, odours fumes or other hazardous
gases? Give details in relation to all the meteorological parameters.
Ans.: Construction activities results in dusting that can lead to high SPM and RSPM
concentration in local area.
To control dust, smoke and gases concentration following mitigation measures are
proposed:
1. Barricade the site periphery by corrugated tin sheets.
2. Sprinkle water on roads.
3. Dust mask will be provided to workers.
5.3. Will the proposal create shortage of parking space for vehicles? Furnish details of the
present level of transport infrastructure and measures proposed for improvement
including the traffic management at the entry & exit to the project site.
Ans.: Project Authorities have taken care to provide adequate parking facilities within the
premises. Hence, there will be no shortage of parking space for vehicles.

Ans.: DG set will be used in construction and operation phase only in case of power failure.
The DG Sets shall be as per the guide lines laid down by EPR for specific noise emission
standards. Measures shall be taken for reduction of noise by using acoustic enclosures.
Noise emissions are expected from various construction equipment and machinery but will
not result in an impact since proper acoustic measures will be provided.
6. AESTHETICS
6.1. Will the proposed constructions in any way result in the obstruction of a view, scenic
amenity or landscapes? Are these considerations taken into account by the proponents?
Ans.: No, the proposed construction will not obstruct view, scenic amenity or landscape. The
premise is proposed after consideration of all such components. The architecture of the project
matches with the surroundings. Development will be planned in such a way that the organized
open areas and landscaped areas are at the centre.
6.2. Will there be any adverse impacts from new constructions on the existing structures?
What are the considerations taken into account?
Ans.: No, there will not be any adverse impact of the proposed construction on existing structures.
The project site is a vacant land. The various factors considered while designing the project
are as under:

7.3. Will the project cause adverse effects on local communities, disturbance to sacred sites or
other cultural values? What are the safeguards proposed?
Ans.: The project will not cause any adverse effect on local community during the construction or
operational stage. No sacred site is located surrounding the project site. Construction activities
will not cause any harm to the local habitants in terms of emission, waste generation, effluent
generation, noise etc. During the operational phase also, the generated wastewater and solid
waste from the complex will be properly managed so that the local community as well as the
existing physical infrastructure does not feel much stress. The project will be constructed as
per the defined building by-laws of local authority. The project activities will be confined
within the premises and no adverse impacts are envisaged. The safeguards are mentioned in
the Environmental Management Plan.
8. BUILDING MATERIALS
8.1. May involve the use of building materials with high-embodied energy. Are the
construction materials produced with energy efficient processes? (Give details of energy
conservation measures in the selection of building materials and their energy efficiency)
Ans.: For construction the preference shall be given to fly ash bricks and recyclable aluminum in
doors and windows. The buildings will have Sewage Treatment Plant, Rainwater harvesting
systems and the common areas will be lit through CFL lights.

8.2. Transport and handling of materials during construction may result in pollution, noise
& public nuisance. What measures are taken to minimize the impacts?
Mitigation Measures for Air Pollution during Construction Stage:
Air quality around the project site will be adversely impacted during construction stage.
Various construction activities especially related to handling of loose material are likely to
generate fugitive dust that will affect the air quality of the surrounding area of the project site.
To minimize such impacts following measures has been proposed.
All construction material will be covered by tarpaulin during transportation and will be kept
at covered.
Water sprinkling will be done for dust suppression.
To minimize the occupational health hazard, proper personal protective gears i.e. mask will
be provided to the workers who are engaged in dust generation activity.
Mitigation Measures for Noise Pollution during Construction Stage:
During construction stage, expected noise levels will be in the range of (80-85dBA), which
will decrease with increase in distance. Administrative as well as engineering control of noise
will be implemented. Isolation of noise generation sources and temporal differentiation of
noise generating activities will ensure minimum noise at receiver’s end.
All the construction activities will be carried out during the daytime. To prevent any
occupational health hazard, ear-muff / ear plug will be given to the workers working around
or operating plant and machinery emitting high noise levels. Use of such plant or machinery
will be strictly prohibited during night. Careful planning of machinery operation and
scheduling of operations will be done to minimise such impact.
8.3. Are recycled materials used in roads and structures? State the extent of savings
achieved?
Ans.: The use of recycled material such as fly ash has been proposed in construction of this project.
If the recyclable material is readily available and if it is economically feasible it will be used
for the construction of roads and structures. Waste from construction like excavated earth,
iron rods etc. will be recycled completely on the project site.
8.4. Give details of the methods of collection, segregation & disposal of the garbage
generated during the operation phases of the project.
Ans.: Waste generation in the operation Phase of entire project:

Lamps (T5/T8)/ CFL. These give us a LPD less than 10W/m2 but still achieving the
required 200 LUX for ambient lighting.

Ans.: Adequate DG Sets are provided for power back up.

Ans.: Passive solar architectural features are considered while designing the buildings in respect of
orientation of building for thermal insulation aspects in case of wall with fenestration & roof

Orientation of Buildings and Elevation Features are planned to provide shading effect. The
proposed project will permit maximum daylight to interior to minimize overall energy
consumption. These features will also minimize the impact of climate both in summer and in

The building block within the complex is laid in such a manner that there remains sufficient
amount of external open space surrounding the block so that the air movement does not get
interrupted.
The building materials will be selected in such a way that the solar heat gain over the vertical
