LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS
With OpenLCA 1.5 software, Ecoinvent 3.2 database and CML Method, an ecobalance was conducted for threeSR GreenPoxy and our SR 1280.
A critical review of LCA was conducted by an independent third party LCA practitioner O2M Conseil.
The purpose was to estimate Environmental Impacts of our manufacturing and supply process, comparingSustainable Biochemical Chain with a 100% Petroleum Materials Chain – Cradle to Gate.

According to this assessment, Carbon Footprint of our bio-based systems is on the average 40% less than aPetroleum based system. Human Toxicity impact of SR GreenPoxy resin systems is 3 times less on theaverage than SR 1280 resin system.

The first, independent 3rd party consumer-facing “eco-label” for sportboard articles, the ECOBOARD Project is focused on reducing carbonfootprints, increasing the use (and reuse) of renewable, recycled andup-cycled inputs, and reducing toxicity within the surfboardmanufacturing process.
A worldwide recognise organisation certifying the superiormechanical performances and quality standard of selected epoxyresin systems that can be used in the Marine industry. Sicominhistorical Marine epoxy formulation have always been certified byDNV-GL.
Sicomin announced that it has earned the U.S. Department ofAgriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product label.
