MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS

In an effort to provide more clarity to you about membership numbers, we have created a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) equation to better represent where our membership stands. The below FTE number is found by dividing our current dues revenue by $475. Please note that this FTE should not be compared to 2015 because of the revised dues structure. However the FTE should be used to track our progress moving forward in 2016. While we have more active members in actuality than the number below, we feel this provides a clearer at-a-glance representation.

The Progressive Membership is back! This is your chance to have your friends, family and colleagues try MVCC to see if it fits their lifestyle. Starting November 1st your prospect can try the club for six months with family dues of only $200. Each $200 payment they make will accrue towards the 2017 initiation fee of $3,000. This program has been the catalyst of our membership growth the past three years. Please consider recommending someone for this opportunity and let Adriana know! If they decide to join in the spring, you will receive a $200 MVCC gift card for your efforts!

Congratulations to the three newly elected Board Members. Debbie Herron, Todd Grenich and Robert Culp will be great additions to the Board and Debbie Herron will become the next Chairperson beginning January 1st! I want to thank Josh Lyons, Korey Cutlip and Flynn Cochran for running for office. They are fantastic candidates and I look forward to their continued involvement in the Club and possible candidacy in the future. Thank you to all 6 members for taking the time to make MVCC better!

Your management staff and Board are very busy working on The 2017 Operating Plan that will be approved at the December 8th board meeting. The components of this plan are the Budget, Tree Plan and Capital Spending Report. The engine that makes this plan work is revenue, and dues are a huge component of that. We will announce the 2017 dues structure after the December board meeting along with The Operating Plan to continue the growth and betterment of MVCC.

Finally your club is booked solid with holiday events. Thank you to all the members who have chosen their Club for their holiday event. We have also changed The Holiday Open House to a Christmas Celebration and Champions Recognition. This will be a festive evening with your friends and we will take some time to recognize our 2016 Champions as well. Entertainment will be provided and there will be a charge for Social Members attending this year. Don’t miss out on the fun events at your Club this Holiday Season!

As November arrives we still have three weeks of golf to enjoy. Our Season Finale Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Awards will be given at this event for Ringers, Birdies and Monthly Medal. Make sure to put this special event on your calendar. Please remember our Veterans on Veterans Day, November 11, and let them know they are appreciated. If you have not completed the Women’s Division Survey, please take a moment to do so. Your responses will determine how next year’s events will look. If you liked something we want to know and if you did not, we want to know that too. Thank you to those who have already completed the survey. Girl’s Night Out is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, and features Holiday Bunco. Plan on getting in the Holiday spirit with old friends and new guests. After Girl’s Night Out we only have a week to think about and prepare that wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner we may be hosting for family and friends. With Thanksgiving, the Holiday Season begins so SAVE THE DATE - Tuesday, December 20 for our Christmas Gala. Hosted punch will be served at 5:30 p.m. with Dinner and Entertainment at 6:30 p.m.
