    CONCLUDING PRAYER

    PRAYER TO JESUS CRUCIFIED

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus,* I cast myself upon my knees in Thysight, * and with the most fervent desireof my soul, * I pray and beseech Theethat Thou wouldst impress upon myheart * lively sentiments of faith, hope

and charity, * with true contrition for mysins * and a firm purpose ofamendment; * while with deep affectionand grief of soul, * I ponder withinmyself and mentally contemplate Thy

five wounds, * having before my eyesthe words which David the prophet * puton Thy lips concerning Thee: * Theyhave pierced My hands and My feet, *they have numbered all My bones.

One Our Father, a Hail Mary and a Gloria, atleast, should be said for the intentions of theSovereign Pontiff. This will fulfil the requirements for aplenary indulgence connected to this devotion so aslong as a person also fulfils other requirements.

Then, the priest gives the BLESSING.

At the end, the Cantorsings:V/. Parce, Domine *
