during the Fourth Annual Commencement Exercises at Methodist College onMonday, May 29. Another twelve areexpected to graduate at the end of thecurrent summer session which endsJuly 14.
Dr. Felix Robb, Director of theSouthern Association of Colleges andSchools, delivered the CommencementAddress.
Speaking on the general subject of"Power," Dr. Robb stated that educationis the key to power, and there is nothingmore powerful than an idea whose timehas come.
He commented on the tremendous pro-
gress of the South within the past onehundred years and stated, "The nexthundred years can belong to the Southif we successfully work out the humanrelations problem."
He congratulated the graduates butalso warned them, "With success youhave also acquired responsibilities. Youwill either help solve the problems ofsociety, or you will become one of theproblems."
On Sunday, May 28, during the Baccalaureate Sermon, Dr. Pierce Harris,Pastor Emeritus of First MethodistChurch, Atlanta, challenged the seniorsto choose wisely their level of living,hecause the compensations of life are
determined by the level of living whichone chooses.

The names of 205 students appearedon the list and represented the greatestpercentage of students ever to qualifyfor this honor. To qualify for such recognition a student must earn a "B"average or better on 15 or more semester hours of work.
