This Week at St. Michael’

Sacred Liturgy In Fr. Rossi’s Words...

Sunday, May 3 Fourth Sunday of Easter World Day of Prayer for Vocations

Holy Mass—For Vocations to the Priesthood Holy Mass—For the People

Stay close to the Shepherd. He is here and he has been waiting for our visits for

twenty centuries. The doors of our Church are the doors to Christ. Beside

the tabernacle we can pray always: “The Lord is my Shepherd, there is nothing

I shall want.”

Monday, May 4

Holy Mass— † Jo Santoro

We need to have this desire for holiness, we need to really be thirsting for God,

and in that thirst, to seek Him out...and that’s what will make us into saints.

Tuesday, May 5

Holy Mass—Stoute Family

Wherever we are, wherever we find ourselves, is an opportunity and the

environment in which we are to spread Christ and His Church.

Wednesday, May 6

Holy Mass—Lillian Davison

...that's a way we can evangelize, simply by being grateful. May the Blessed

Mother help us then to practice gratitude that we will tell the name of the Lord to all those near us for all the good things

He has done for us.

Thursday, May 7

Holy Mass— † Harold Smith

Even in the Eucharist He has taken this most humble form under the appearance

of bread and wine, this lowest form of food, to be always near us, always close too us through the Blessed Sacrament, as

the truest gift of God’s very self—His Body and Blood.

Friday, May 8

Holy Mass— † Blanche Dole

If we want to love Jesus we need to know Him. If we want to know Him we

need to spend time with Him, most especially in reading and praying the

Gospels.

Saturday, May 9

Holy Mass—† James Hodgkiss

Holy Mass—† Eunice Cherry May our Blessed Mother be that Star of Hope for us, to keep our eyes fixed al-

ways on Heaven, to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who reveals the fullness of the

Father’s love for us.

Sunday, May 10 Fifth Sunday of Easter Mother’s Day

Holy Mass—In Honor of Our Lady of Fatima Holy Mass—For the People

All Mass intentions requested this week will be honored.

FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTION

In reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary includes the following elements, performed with the intention of reparation for blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart, for at least five consecutive months: • Confession (shortly before or after the First Saturday — so long as the person receives Holy Communion in a state of grace); • Holy Communion received on the First Saturday of each month; • The Holy Rosary, five decades recited sometime during the day; • Meditating for 15 minutes on the Mysteries of the Rosary (one or more).

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

is sufficient in these restricted times.

FAMILY CONSECRATION TO MARY (in the spirit of St. Maximilian Kolbe)

O Immaculata, Queen of heaven and earth, our life, our sweetness, and our hope, on this day we the (Family Surname) family come before you to conse-crate ourselves to you as your possession and prop-erty. We praise God because he has brought us to-gether to give ourselves to you our Mother. We do this because Jesus said on the Cross, “Behold your Mother.” We need you, Mother Mary, to help us to be a truly Catholic family. Enter into our family life. Repeat to us the words you spoke at Cana, “Do whatever He tells you.” Help us to overlook one an-other’s faults, to forgive as Jesus has forgiven us, and to love one another as Our Lord has asked us to love. Please use our family to crush the head of the serpent. Ask your Spouse, St. Joseph, Protector of the universal Church, to keep us one in mind and heart with your Son’s Vicar, Pope Francis. Today you have become the Queen of our hearts and home. May our home be a “City of the Immaculata,” where the Sacred Heart of Jesus reigns forever. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly

Hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl

about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
