BLOCK ASSEMBLY: Nine Patch Block1. Sew (1) A 31/2” square to either side of (1)B 31/2” square, press. Repeat to make (4) ABA sets

2. Sew (1) B 31/2” square to either side of (1)A 31/2” square, press. Repeat to make (2) BAB sets.

3. Sew (1) ABA to the top and bottom of (1) BABset, press. Repeat to make (2) AB nine patch block.

4. Repeat Steps 1-3 using C with B squares,D with B squares and E with B 31/2” squares tomake the following number of nine Patch blocks– (4) CB blocks, (6) DB blocks, (4) EB blocks.

SASHING: 5. Sew (2) B 21/2” x WOF together at short end, press.Repeat to make B (6) sashing sets.

QUILT ASSEMBLY: see quilt diagram6. Sew Nine Patch Blocks and G 91/2” lengths together incolumns as follows:

Column 1: AB Nine Patch, CB Nine Patch, DB Nine Patch, EB Nine Patch, F 91/2” x 361/2”.

Column 4: EB Nine Patch, F 91/2” x 451/2”, DB Nine Patch, CB Nine Patch.

7. Sew (1) B Sashing set to the Left side of each Column.

8. Sew (1) B Sashing to the Right side of Column 5.

9. Sew Columns together in order to make Quilt Center.

BORDER ASSEMBLY:10. Sew (2) B 21/2” x WOF together at short end, press. Sew to top of quilt center, press and trim and sew even with quilt sides.

11. Sew (1) B 21/2” x WOF to remaining strip from Step 10. Sew to bottom of quilt center, press and trim even with quilt sides.

FINISHING Cut batting and backing 3" larger than top on all sides. Layer backing, batting and top and baste or pin. When quilting is completed, trim excess batting and backing. Bind as usual.
