THE VENUETHE ROOMS

BALTIC offers three spaces for wedding reception and ceremony hire, each with their own character and ambience.

Level 1Level 1 is BALTIC’s largest event space, a whole floor of the gallery just for you and your guests! The main space holds ceremonies for up to 180 guests and the additional three rooms, which include a 54-seat cinema and dressing room, can be creatively transformed into a truly unique wedding venue.

SixSix is BALTIC’s rooftop restaurant and is famous for its amazing panoramic views of the Newcastle and Gateshead quayside. The restaurant serves a delicious modern British menu, drawing inspiration from the very best ingredients in the North East. Six can host wedding breakfasts of up to 120 guests and the Viewing Box is ideal for smaller ceremonies and canapé receptions.

River TerraceRiver Terrace is located on BALTIC’s ground mezzanine floor. The full length picture windows fill the room with natural light and provide a stunning city backdrop for your big day. By night the stylish venue sets the stage for an elegant reception where your guests can enjoy a party as the room is set for dinner and dancing.

BALTIC KitchenAlthough not available for private hire during the daytime, the airy and modern eatery is an excellent breakout space for guests to chat and mingle between your ceremony and reception. With a fully licenced bar snacks and food options available, your guests can relax in comfort while your event space is transformed.

CEREMONIES

BALTIC is fully licensed to host civil ceremonies in River Terrace, on Level 1 and in Six’s Viewing Box. With capacities ranging from 30 to 180, BALTIC is perfect for both intimate and grand ceremonies.

WEDDING BREAKFASTS

We offer a totally bespoke service and build menus around your personal tastes. Whilst our food style is modern British, our talented chefs are happy to create bespoke menus drawing inspiration from global cuisines, or based on a specific theme. For those looking for an interesting alternative to the traditional three course meal, we also offer extensive barbecue, buffetand canapé options.

RECEPTIONS

By night the River Terrace overlooks the sparkling lights of the Newcastle Quayside and the dramatic arch of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. This spacious venue sets the stage for a stylish reception for up to 250 guests for drinks and dancing.

Fresh Element is passionate about creating quality food and we believe quality comes from sourcing the best seasonal ingredients.

We pride ourselves on providing a locally sourced and sustainably designed menufor your wedding. Our mission is to find produce from the north east, where this isn’t possible we will always seek ingredients which are responsibly sourced.

For your wedding, we will help you to create a fantastic bespoke menu that has been put together with careful consideration and care by our chefs. Menus are finalised close to the date of your event to ensure the availability of seasonal produce.

WHAT NEXT?MeetingWe believe that meeting face to face and getting to know you is really important. Our friendly, experienced Wedding Planner will take you on a tour of BALTIC and help you choose the perfect spaces and menu for your special day.

If you’re unable to visit in person we can send all information by email or post. 360º virtual tours of all BALTIC event spaces are available at www.freshelement.co.uk.

BOOKINGA deposit payment of 100% of room hire is required to confirm your booking. Dates can be provisionally held for up to 14 days with no commitment.

PLANNINGYour dedicated Wedding Planner will work closely with you in the build up to your wedding to ensure all details are covered. On the big day our front of house team will take over and ensure that everything runs smoothly, leaving you and your guests to relax and enjoy the occasion.

TASTINGOnce you have discussed menus with your Wedding Planner, we will invite you to Six, our rooftop restaurant at BALTIC for a complimentary menu tasting. This will give you an opportunity to discuss specific menu and dietary details with our Wedding Planner.

SHOWCASEEvery year we host a wedding showcase at BALTIC. This is a great opportunity to get some inspiration for your big day from our team of trusted suppliers, with dressed rooms and live entertainment.
