A simple addition.
Can you use the tens frames to help solve these challenges?
This becomes a bit tricky so be careful.
They are looking at how making a whole ten will help when we area adding 2 numbers together that cross/bridge 10.
So the first one would be –8+2=1010+3=13So 8+5 is 13
Now try the second one.
More of the same but this is a tricky concept for children to grasp.
