Happy July PRBC! I can hardly believe half of 2020 is behind us, and truly hope it was the bad half. So many people have asked if we can have a 2020 do-over, and to be honest, that sure would be nice. However, I am grateful that God is still on the throne and nothing of 2020 has been sur-prising to Him. I want to take a moment to encourage each of you to stay encouraged, stay engaged, and stay faithful. I realize our church is in a season of transition. You may be wondering what we are going to do in light of Michael departing and our church seeking two new staff members. There are a few things we are going to do. First, we are going to celebrate the goodness of God. God calls people to a church for a season and then calls them away. Michael made it very clear to me that God has called him out of children's ministry at PRBC. Furthermore, he believes God may be calling him into an entirely different ministry altogether and is waiting for the door of the new ministry to open. So please pray that God will open that new door for him and his family. We must celebrate that God is work-ing in his life and God is working in our church. Friends, make no mistake God is at work. So far this Summer we have seen many people come to Christ and follow-up in Believer's baptism. Praise the Lord! Second, we as a church are going to trust the LORD. God has a perfect plan for our indi-vidual lives and for our church. We are going to trust God today and in the days to come to continue His perfect work. Third, we are going to keep on doing ministry. VBS will continue. Kids Camp will take place. People will step up and make sure the ministry is covered. Fourth, we are going to pray, pray, pray, and pray more for the personnel team and for each other. We must be a praying church seeking the will of God. However, there are a few things we are not going to do. First, we are not going to spread rumors and make up stories about Michael leaving. In our staff meeting yesterday during prayer time Michael said his prayer was that people would not try to find something that is not there. Church, God has called him away period. Please do not allow the devil to try to stir something up in you and chase rabbits of untruth. If someone comes to you with a different story, cut it off and ask them to stop spreading gossip. Second, we will not retreat. The church of America seems to be in full-blown retreat fearfully giving in to the ideas and thoughts of the world. That will not be PRBC. We will faithfully stand upon God's Word reaching the lost and teaching the found. Third, we will not fear. The Bible is clear that fear and panic is not from the Lord but from Satan. We will be bold during these difficult days! I also want to take a moment to say thank you for your continued faithful-ness and continued prayers for the staff and for each other. I am excited about what God is doing and believe our best days are ahead of us. Keep praying. Keep seeking the Lord, remain obedient, and let God do the rest. Until He Comes, Pastor Geoff
