I chose Darko for my Project (A day in the Life of a Dog) as My Dog because he is really photogenic and energetic

There are many dogs at the shelter Old Dogs Young Dogs Big Dogs Small Dogs
Leishmaniasis (also known as Kala-azar and Dum Dum fever) is a dangerous disease in which parasites live in the liver, spleen and marrow and reproduce rapidly.
Ninety percent of cases also show cutaneous skin involvement. Complications set in when the immune system begins to break down. Without treatment, the parasitic infection results in death within two years of the dog becoming infected.

We do not receive grants from the Municipality and we must provide food for 80 + dogs each day. Consider the following items that we are always in need of: * DRY AND CAN FOOD FOR DOGS, PUPPIES, CATS AND Kittens * SAND FOR CATS * Flea and Tick treatments - collars and liquid (Frontline spray). * Strong and Long CHAINS, of All Sizes COLLARS and LEASHES. * And of Course Plastic DOG HOUSES Or Medium large size. MEDICINES: * ZYLAPOUR, Vibramycin, six hundred and twenty-five Augmentin mg & 1000mg , CLINDAVET, T4 200ml, RIMADYL, BAYTRIL, SEBACIL * MILTEFORAN * Bleach, disinfectant, anti-bacterial spray and Lotion, Gloves. * OXYVET, PULVO, Betadine, FUCIDIN, FUCICORT, OXYGENE. * Anti worm pills, (Drontal Plus), Banmith, * ADVANTIX, Stronghold.

You can daily walk our dogs from Monday to Sunday from 6.00-8.00pm ONLY inside the shelter.
You can help transferring dogs to the vets we co-operate with (if you own a car)
You can gather donations (houses, bags of food etc) from several parts of Athens (if you own a car)
You can foster kittens or injured dogs as long as it's needed (Food, medication is provided by us)
You can Virtually Adopt one of the available dogs (send email to [email protected] to find out more)
