W Corneille Bryan Native Garden Nestled within residential Stuart Circle, the garden is a serene escape for nature lovers. It features more than 500 species of native plants and is a haven for birdlife. (I) Gattis Meditation Garden Overlooking Lake Junaluska, this spot offers a welcome resting place for visitors on their walk around the lake. (G) Inspiration Point Offering panoramic views of the lake and mountains, this scenic destination adjacent to Lambuth Inn, engages all in quiet meditation, prayer and study. (2) Lake Junaluska Biblical Garden Created in 2007, the garden incorporates plants mentioned in the Bible, including herbs, figs, pomegranates and vines. (A) Lake Junaluska Cross The iconic Cross, constructed in 1922, serves as a symbol of hope and light. (R) Lake Junaluska Rose Walk The Rose Walk features more than 200 hybrid tea, grandiflora and floribunda roses. (K) Memorial Chapel and Prayer Labyrinth Memorial Chapel was built in 1949 as a memorial to southeastern United Methodists who served in the armed forces during World War II. The outdoor labyrinth provides a walking path for prayer. (P) Susanna Wesley Garden Named for John Wesley’s mother, the garden is a place for prayer and meditation as well as a unique venue for weddings. (L) Stuart Spring Stuart Spring serves as a peace and reconciliation memorial, providing a quiet place for prayer and reflection. (J) Cherokee IV Docked behind the Harrell Center (N), the Cherokee IV offers seasonal boat tours to learn more about Lake Junaluska history while enjoying a peaceful ride around the lake. J. B. Ivey Playground and Wilson Children’s Complex Open to the public, the J. B. Ivey Playground, adjacent to the Wilson Children’s Complex, is a place where children can explore and have fun outside. (E) Lake Junaluska Dam and Waterfall Park The Lake Junaluska Dam was constructed between 1911 and 1913. The area below the dam offers lots of space for picnics and fishing. (T) Lake Junaluska Golf Course The historic Lake Junaluska Golf Course, built in 1919, offers 18 holes and scenic mountain and lake views. Lake Junaluska Outfitters Rent a paddle board, canoe or kayak and glide over the water under a broad blue sky, or splash in the outdoor pool. (G) Spend the afternoon playing mini golf, tennis or shuffleboard with family and friends. (F) Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym This open-air gym offers the perfect spot for hosting outdoor events and activites. (B) Shackford Firepit Lake Junaluska’s firepit below Shackford Hall (D) offers the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows with friends and family. Turbeville Footbridge Built in 1988, the Turbeville Footbridge enables visitors to complete the shorter 2.3-mile path that circles the lake. (U) Junaluska Gifts & Grounds Located in the Harrell Center, Junaluska Gifts & Grounds is your destination for gifts and coffee at Lake Junaluska. Shop for unique gifts or grab a latte, sandwich or ice cream cone and sit along our café walk. (N) Lakeside Bistro Located on the third floor of The Terrace Hotel, the Lakeside Bistro offers casual indoor dining within the spacious restaurant and scenic outdoor dining on the patio overlooking the lake. (1) York Dining Commons & Lakeside Deck York Dining Commons is the primary location where youth event meals are served. A new outdoor deck added in 2020 overlooks the water. (C) The Terrace Hotel This recently renovated hotel offers contemporary accommodations and breathtaking views of the lake. (1) Lambuth Inn Completed in 1921, the center section of the Lambuth Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lambuth Inn is also home to the Christmas Memories gift shop. (2) Hillside Lodge Hillside Lodge is located near York Dining Commons, the playground and Lake Junaluska Outfitters. (5) Lake Junaluska Apartments Comfortable, convenient and economical, the apartments can host from four to 10 people. Many have kitchenettes, and some are pet-friendly. (6a, 6b, 6c) Lake Junaluska Campground Lake Junaluska Campground offers RV and tent sites, deluxe cabin, apartments and a meeting lodge. Mountainview and Sunnyside Lodges Built in 1957 and 1958, the Mountainview (3) and Sunnyside (4) Lodges are ideal for youth and youth programs. Amphitheater The Amphitheater was built in 1988 and is now a popular location for outdoor meetings and worship services. (R) Bethea Welcome Center Opened in 2007, visitors are able to view different cultures represented through art and groups can gather in its various meeting spaces. (A) Harrell Center Inside the Harrell Center, built in 1960, are meeting venues, a library, public restrooms and Junaluska Gifts & Grounds gift and coffee shop. (N) Kern Center The center includes meeting spaces and a fitness center. (H) Shackford Hall Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this hall constructed in 1923 features an auditorium and classrooms. (D) Stuart Auditorium Stuart Auditorium, the first structure completed at Lake Junaluska in 1913, was originally an open-air construction with a dirt floor covered with sawdust. Later, the auditorium was enclosed with walls. (O)
