Fringe 2020 Facebook Integration – Ad Account With Pixel Ad Account With Pixel If you’ve got a Facebook page and ad account (either for ads or promoted posts) and also have a Facebook pixel, these are the steps to walk through creation of a business manager account and pixel. The pixel will be the component used for the integration. 1. Firstly, we need to create a Facebook business manager account. Fringe 2020 Facebook Integration – Ad Account With Pixel

Ad Account With Pixel If you’ve got a Facebook page and ad account (either for ads or promoted posts) and also have a Facebook pixel, these are the steps to walk through creation of a business manager account and pixel. The pixel will be the component used for the integration.

1. Firstly, we need to create a Facebook business manager account. This tool provides a platform to manage your Facebook page, ad account and pixel in one location. It also provides a linkage to Instagram which allows ads to run on both platforms should you choose. Go to https://business.facebook.com/ and click the blue ‘Create Account’ button top righthand side.

a. Facebook will ask you to ‘login’. If you have an existing Facebook login you will

need to use this, if not you will need to create a Facebook account.

Note: logging in here doesn’t ‘connect’ this with your personal profile, it’s simply a way to identify you to Facebook.

b. Once logged in, we will need to officially create the business manager account. Click ‘Create Account’ again top righthand side:

c. Complete the screens as they load with your information, clicking next one the fields are complete:

A. Business and Account name – The name you’d like to have the

business account appear as, we recommend your business or show name. B. Your Name – Your full name C. Your business email address – If you have a different email for

business, enter it here. Otherwise use your primary email. d. You will need to provide some business details such as location, phone number,

website. Please note, these details are not made public and only form part of the business manager account registration. Once this screen is complete click ‘Submit’

A. With regards to the business use question, we recommend

selecting ‘Promote its own goods or services’ e. You will receive an email to the registered ‘business email’ entered a few steps

Facebook page. To do this we click ‘Add Page’: Note: Due to logging in through your normal Facebook login, you may find your existing page appears in business manager already, if that is the case skip to step 3

a. Then ‘add your own page’ on the pop up:

b. You will need to enter either the name of the current Facebook page or the URL. A

drop-down list will appear as you type the name of pages with similar names. Ensure you click the correct one. Note: Adding a Page means you'll see it in your Business Manager. To add a Page, you must already be an admin of that Page.

Select the correct page, and click ‘add page’ which will display the below is the page has been added correctly:

3. We now need to a bring our existing ad account into business manager which will house the Facebook pixel we need to integrate AVR with Facebook. To add your existing ad account firstly click ‘Add ad account’ from the home page of business manager:

a. Then select ‘Add ad account’

b. You will need to have a copy of your existing ad account id to paste in here. This is most easily found by logging into your ‘personal’ Facebook, the following these prompts:

A. Select the drop down menu arrow B. Select ‘Manage ads’

c. You will now see all ad accounts you’ve got access to, which will allow you to copy the ID back into business manager for import.

d. From here paste that ID back into the business manager screen and click ‘Add ad

account’

e. Business manager will ask you to assign visibility, as you’ve just created the business manager you only need to add yourself.

A. Select your account B. Click ‘Management ad account’ check box C. Click ‘Assign’ to complete the ad account process

4. We now need to grab the existing Pixel ID to add into AVR.

Firstly lets jump into the ad account by clicking the ad account itself:

a. Then we need to go to the pixel section by navigating to and click to expand the top left menu

b. From the expanded menu select the ‘Pixels’ option:

c. Now we just need to grab the pixel ID highlighted here:

5. Now we’ve created the pixel the final step it to copy the pixel ID and add it to AVR to complete the integration. If you mouse over the Pixel ID at the top left it will allow you to ‘click to copy’:

6. With the Pixel ID copied, go into the Facebook tab section of your event and paste the code in.

a. Select ‘Yes’ checkbox to use this service b. Paste the pixel code in from step 5 c. Click ‘Save’ to complete the integration.
