Canadians can expect a small initial supply of cannabis edibles whenthey become legal in mid-December, and the limited rate of productswon't include products that will appeal to children, say governmentofficials. Health Canada has released new regulations on cannabisedibles, beverages, topicals and extracts- products that will be on thelegal market as early as mid-December.

Officials say the regulations, which include strict packaging andlabeling requirements are designed to limit the appeal of cannabisproducts and reduce the risk of food-borne illness or over-consumption.
