FROM THE DESK OF PASTOR JAN… Woodbine United Methodist Church is alive and well this summer. We are open for business and we extend to you an invitation to come and join us in all our summer activities. We will have movie night for the adults and children, bingo, ice cream social, and many other exciting things to do during our warm summer days. You will find a very comfortable air conditioned environment, and occasional covered dish and old fashion pop-corn served with lots of love. We want everyone to know that we refuse to give in to the “Summer Slump” that most churches experience. Satan does not take any time off and neither do we. From the Children & Youth Director…

June was a very busy but fun time for the kids here at WUMC! We started the month out with a trip to the St. Marys Aquatic Center, where fun was had by all! The “Get Set to Get Wet” day on the church grounds was a fun filled day of fun as well! The children enjoyed several water activi-ties including water balloons and water guns, followed by lunch, the movie Dolphin Tale and popcorn. And just when you didn’t think it could get any wilder or more fun, it was time for Vaca-tion Bible School, “Rolling River Rampage” where the children experienced the ride of a lifetime with God. We had a good turnout and the kids had a great time. At the end of each night I would ask them what their favorite thing of the night was and after taking several responses from sever-al kids, amazingly they loved it all!! It just really saddens me though that we had 30 children at-tend VBS but yet we only had 2 in church on Sunday. Please take note that the “Slide into Fun” event planned for July 11, has been cancelled. Our children’s regular Wednesday night meetings will resume on August 8, 5 until 6:30. Hope to see all the children then, if not in church before! Anchored in Christ,
