In 1965, Belgian-bornLuc Chaltin was gravely illwith tuberculosis. He couldnot tolerate the traditionalmedical treatment andclassical homeopathy couldnot help him. This life-threatening experience ledhim on his journey.

As fate would have it,his search led him to abook that explained theimportance of liverdrainage (detoxification.) Dr. Luc began using homeopathicremedies known to cleanse or "drain" the liver of toxinsand combined these “drainers” with other homeopathicremedies known to support excretory function. He soondeveloped a combination formula and labeled it“Drainer.” His condition quickly improved. Within sixmonths, there was no evidence of tuberculosis.

In 1987, Dr. Luc became a U.S. citizen and foundedNewton Laboratories, Inc. He began to manufacture andmarket “Drainer,” along with other unique formulations hehad developed while still living in Belgium. Hisformulations focus on detoxification while addressingsymptoms of acute and chronic illness. The theory ofdetoxification for toxic, chronic afflictions remains at theforefront of holistic healing methods today. All NEWTONcomplexes continue to be developed using his uniquemethods.

General Guidelines for UseYour healthcare professional has chosen to offer you qualityhomeopathics. This brochure provides general informationabout homeopathy, how to use it and why NEWTON waschosen. Follow your healthcare professional’s instructionswhich may vary to suit your specific needs.

NEWTON’s standard dose is 6 drops/pellets for adults, 3drops/pellets for kids. We suggest that if you haveenvironmental sensitivities or if you over-react, begin with 1drop/pellet for a couple days, then go to two for a coupledays and increase each day until you reach therecommended standard dose.

If an alcohol-free remedy is preferred, place the drops in asmall amount of warm water and let stand for 10 minutes toallow the alcohol to evaporate or use the alcohol-free pelletversion when available.

The preferred method of administration is to put the dosedirectly on or under the tongue in a clean mouth. However,the most critical factor is to take the homeopathic. It isimportant to be consistent. If you are instructed to take theremedy three times every day, don’t skip doses or skip days.If you feel you need more, take it more frequently butmaintain the 6-drop dose. Increase the frequency rather thanthe dosage.

Homeopathy is forgiving. If you forget to take DigestiveCare 15 minutes before eating, take it after. If youaccidentally take 7 drops or 10 drops – no problem. Forsome conditions, such as joint pain, tobacco/appetitecravings or allergy discomfort it may be necessary to take acomplex 10 times a day for the first day and then decreasethe frequency as the symptoms lessen.

Listen to your body and adjust the frequency as needed. Weadvocate taking a couple of doses after acute symptoms,such as headache, are resolved and taking the remedy for acouple of weeks after the symptoms are gone for chronicconditions such as menopause. If you aren’t experiencingresults with a three-times a day dosing, consider four-times aday or contact your helathcare provider.
