INFECTION PREVENTION

Superior Infection Prevention

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) have been linked to readmissions after a patient’s stay, that’s why your comprehensive infection prevention should include linen.

To that end, we developed the Triple BioShield Protection® process comprised of three steps that go beyond regulatory standards to help ensure your patients’ safety:

Dead on ContactOur advanced wash process sanitizes linens and garments, killing 99.999% of common pathogens.

Bacteria-Inhibitor SoftenerA softener and protective coating is applied to every product during the laundering process. This coating creates a zone of inhibition on our products, which means that any bacteria that may land on the products during their use won’t be able to spread.

Plastic BarrierAll our products are encased in a plastic barrier for delivery to ensure that your items are as clean and sanitized when they get to you as they were when they left our plant.

Bacteria-Inhibitor Softener

Linen is a vector for transmission of bacteria. A contaminated hand is all it takes for bacteria to grow and spread, which could be transmitted to another person.

Bacteriostatic Fabric Softener One of the steps in the Triple BioShield Protection process, the BacStat BioShield, includes a bacteriostat agent. This softener is an EPA-registered concentrated bacteriostat that is applied to linen during the washing process and creates a zone of inhibition, stopping bacteria from reproducing thus limiting the growth and spread of bacteria.

BacStat creates a“Zone of Inhibition”on treated fabrics toslow the growth ofbacteria

This softener also makes linen and gowns softer for a more comfortable patient experience and satisfaction. Not only does this agent address health concerns associated with bacteria, but it also reduces odors by inhibiting the growth of ammonia-producing organism. This agent provides residual bacteriostatic activity against odor-causing Gram Positive and Gram Negative bacteria.
