    In organizations, there exist a lot ofdifferences, which are many a times formallycreated by an organization throughdepartments, divisions, delegation,decentralization, authority and power.

    Through various effective communicationmechanisms these differences are minimizedand activities are properly co-coordinated toachieve organizational goals.

    The most important function of a manager is decision

    making.

    In order to make an accurate and appropriate decision

    a manager needs to obtain information available in

    various channels of communication.

    The way decision is communicated will have an

    impact upon the outcomes of the organization in

    terms of cooperation and support of the people to

    achieve organizational goals.

    letters etc., to communicate the existing orchanged rules, regulations and proceedurs.

    It is also called informal communication or

    grapevine network of who talks to whom inorganizations.

    Usually, this is often considered as the work

    of employees to create misunderstanding.

    Sometimes management also takes the helpof this route before implementing new

    policies.

    Emotive Function

    Communication facilitates the expression of feelingsand satisfaction.

    It also enables the people to express theirdissatisfaction and unhappiness through words or inwriting to release their tension and frustration.

    That is why in organizations, there exist grievance

    resolution machinery. Often managers and supervisors are trained how to

    handle employees emotional problems andgrievances.
