Gandhi Jayanti 2020 Celebration
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd
October as a National
Festival on the occasion of the birth anniversary of our father
of nation, Mohan Das karamchand Gandhi. He was a great
follower of peace (satya) and Non- violence (Ahimsa). Gandhi
launched many important movements for the freedom of the
nation, he also worked diligently for the upliftment of
untouchables, thus because of his love towards the country
and its citizens he was called “Bapu” out of love. Each year
the occasion is celebrated to ponder upon his philosophies
and teachings.
Institute of vocational studies celebrated the Gandhi
Jayantiwith great enthusiasmon 1st October 2020.Students
of B.EDparticipated very enthusiastically in this activity under
the guidance of our Respected Principal Madam
Dr.MandiraGupta.The activity was planned and organised by
Ms. Sangeeta Kaushik on the digital platform M.S.Team from
11:10 PM to 11:50 PM.
The event started with the introductory speech of one of the
student from B.ED second year student who started with
briefing about the significance of Gandhi Jayanti and the
events of the celebration. It included a number of activities
to showcase the skills of students such as
• Self- made poems
• Speeches
• Posters
• Slogan writing
These activities helped students to remember the teachings
of Bapu and its relevance in current time. Students started
with reciting their poems and expressing their thoughts on
Gandhi ji, some of them shared their posters and explained
the thought behind it. Participants also prepared some
patriotic songs which were sung beautifully and lightened up
everyone’s mood. Such activities expand the minds of
students and assist them in expressing their thoughts
through different forms of art. The digital platform was
altogether a new experience helped everyone to discover
new sphere of education expansion.
The Digital Gandhi Jayanti celebration was altogether a joyful
experience which made everyone to learn something. It
made student realise the viewpoint of Bapu’s way of
education. Large number of participations from students
made the event more successful and entertaining.
