Council News & Notes
As indicated earlier, things are
really picking up in the Gateway City…
There are several events by sev-
eral clubs and organizations taking place over the coming month; as always, if you’re aware of some sort of activity that might be of inter-est to other clubs in town, please forward the info to the editor.
For the local LBCs, the British Na-
tional Car Week National Meet takes place in two weeks, com-mencing with opening day activities at the Clinton Library in Little Rock on Wednesday 30 May. Two cara-vans will depart for the main event in Hot Springs from the Library, while Brit cars converge from all over the country.
The SLTOA contingent is planning
to drive down as a group. They’ll form up at 8 AM on Tuesday, 29 May, at the St Louis Bread Co/Qdoba parking, 909 Arnold Com-mons Drive (I-55 and MO 141). Departure time is scheduled for 9 AM, southbound on I-55 and US 67 to Little Rock.
All St Louis LBC owners/cars plan-

In Print The April 2012 issue of Classic & Sports Car has almost something for everyone: the issues marks 30 years of publication of the magazine and comes in at 420 pages of cars, comparison tests, classified and the usual outstanding photography. This one’s definitely a keeper.
The June 2012 edition of Hemmings Classic Cars contains a profile on Bob Stevens, who edited the late, great Cars & Parts (originally Cars & Parts Corvette) magazine for 32 years. The article includes information on Stevens’ four ‘Vettes: a 1960 (283/270 hp), 1967 Sting Ray (427/400 hp Tri-Power), 1982 and a 1991 ZR-1…as well as a ’55 Chevy Bel Air sedan with 1968 Corvette engine.
