DYNAMIC FEARLESS LEADERSHIP: The Power of Influence and Empowerment Connie PodestaPowerhouse SpeakerPlano, TX Reality: Leadership is a powerful privilege-open to everyone, regardless of title or job description. Connie has worked with some of the world's great leaders and discovered two common traits: 1) they have the intuitive ability to identify the "gap" between where people (including themselves) are now and where they need to be in order to achieve powerful RESULTS and 2) they have the talent and desire to use that knowledge to mentor, train, and inspire others to be confident and successful in their own right. Leadership is more about service, than wielding power, and more about empowering people than "managing" people. More about "charging people up" than being in charge. More about making good choices for the right reason than pleasing everyone. Solution: With her comedic wit and trademark no-nonsense style, Connie is known worldwide for helping leaders create teams that are energized and FEARLESS in their quest for success. Get ready to go straight inside the minds of most common leadership styles, and see which one fits you to a tee and which one would be YOUR first choice to follow and respect.

5:30 - 6:30 pm Networking Social Tuesday's networking social will take place at Sunset Sam's Fish Camp, a casually cool restaurant, located inside the Gaylord Palms® Key West Atrium. You will be in awe over the towering mast of a 60-foot sailboat/restaurant overlooking a lagoon of Florida's most popular ocean inhabitants.

Transaction to Interaction: The Role of the Branch in an Age of Automated BankingSteven Reider PresidentBancographyBirmingham, AL Since the first ATM was introduced in 1967, bankers have heard predictions of the demise of the traditional retail branch. Now, amidst relentless cost pressure, expanding electronic channel alternatives, and declining in-branch transaction volumes, calls continue for banks to reduce the scope of their branch networks. In reality, they should pursue just the opposite. Branches remain the dominant channel for new account openings, and empirical evidence proves that larger branch networks capture a disproportionate share of balances. But most importantly, to the extent that community banks can encourage customers to utilize the branch channel, those institutions can reinforce their greatest differentiating trait --- their people. This session will discuss: • Why branches still matter: the role of the branch as electronic channels emerge, or why we should embrace rather than replace branches • Redefining staff roles to leverage new concepts in design and technology, and to improve branch sales, service, and efficiency • Aligning branch service models with market demographics • Privacy, customer freedom, and risk management: using the branch to manage one of the defining banking issues of the next decade
