TT Roadster set to gear up for thrills with new soft-tITS A GOOD news day forblue sky Britain, as Audi hasgiven us a first glimpse ofnext years all-new TT Road-
ster.We Brits love the TT to
bits, having bought tens ofthousands of them since themodel first arrived at theend of the 1990s. The new TTRoadster is set to continuethat with space-age digitalinstruments and a new rangeof engines.
Buyers wont be able to gettheir hands on it until March2015, but Audi has firmed upwhat to expect from the newsoft-top.
A fully-automated foldingfabric roof can give driverstheir moment in the sun, while the Audi virtual cock-pit 12.3-inch digital displaycan be tailored to show justabout anything from sat-navmaps to live car information.
The Roadster adds about
90kg onto the coupes chas-sis, but the entry level petrolmodel is still lighter thansimilarly-sized hard-tops like
the Seat Leon Cupra 280.At launch, a 226bhp 2.0-li-
tre turbocharged petrolengine will be paired with
front or four-wheel drive, while a 181bhp diesel willonly drive the front wheels. There will be Sport and S linetrim grades. The diesel willbe known as the TDI ultraversion, with potential for65mpg and CO2 emissionsrated at only 114g/km plac-ing it in road tax band C.

Some 38% unaware ofHelp to Buys beneitsMORE than a third of prop-erty buyers and home own-ers in the South West eitherhavent heard of the Help toBuy scheme or remain una-ware of what it is.
Couples living togethneed to know the lawREPORTS of escalatinghouse prices have never beenfar from the headlines thisyear. The latest report fromthe Office of National Statis-tics (ONS) shows that prop-erty priceshave leapt10.2percent since June across thecountry, with rental pricesfollowing close behind.
As property prices skyrock-et, more couples are makingthe decision to pool their re-sources and move in togeth-er to increase their buyingpower.
The ONS reports that co-habitation rates have risen
by 22 per cent in the past tenyears, and are set to increaseto 3.3 million families by2033.
But what many cohabitingcouples dont realise is thatthey have very little legal or
financial protection relatingto their property if the rela-tionship breaks down.
Kate Jones, solicitor atHedges Law and member offamily law organisation Res-olution says: Many couplesdont know that cohabita-tion and property rights arenot straight forward. Thisbecomes particularly impor-tant in the event the relation-ship ends or if one partnerdies.
Kate Jones explains: If anunmarried couple living to-gether split up and the prop-erty is in one persons name,
the next step is to work outwhether the otherperson hasan interest in the property for instance, by paying to-wards the mortgage, helpingwith repairs or even havingcontributed to the deposit.

the UK to look at a housesinvestment potential.
Just eight per cent said theability to sell it on was thefirst thing they looked for ontheir initial viewings.
Chris Marshall, BishopsMove Sales and MarketingDirector, said: This high-lights the South Wests popu-larity amongst those look-ing to retire in the region.Indeed, our 2012 survey re-vealed the main motivationforhouse buyersin theSouthWest was in fact retirement.
And whilst Help to Buy istargeted to first time buyers
it comes as a great surpriset o h ear of an acu te l ac kof understanding. Clearlysomething needs to be doneto ensure those looking fora property are aware of themany benefits it brings.
