Rob Hanley is our deacon serving in worship today. Rob is a teacher in the Fifth Grade Sunday School Class and serves as a greeter and a member of the audiovisual technical crew. He is also a member of the SAVER Committee. Rob and his wife, Lillian, have children, Lieutenant Colonel Kris and daughter-in-law Lieutenant Colonel Katie, Erin and Seth; and two grandsons, Sean and Zach.
The flowers in the Sanctuary this Sunday are given by Linda and Eldon Russ in gratitude for and to honor the memory of their parents: M.O. and Ruby Bridges Owens and Jesse and Mildred Watts Russ.
Communion Committee members scheduled to prepare today are John and Martha Burwell.
The altar cloth on the baptistry today was a gift from our sister church, La Iglesia Bautista del Camino in Guanajay, Cuba. As a part of our covenant with this congregation, we remember them when celebrating the sacrament of communion.

Prayer of Confession
Loving God, hear our prayer – our eyes are tired from weeping, our hearts are heavy with sin. We have trusted too much in our own strength. We have hidden our faces from those who suffer. We have turned away from neighbors in need. We have given up hope instead of seeking your help. Lord, be gracious to us. Forgive our sin, heal our brokenness, and fill our hearts with songs of joy. Amen.
Declaration of Forgiveness
Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning. Hear the good news! In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Thanks be to God.
