Fabulous Fabrics – Two Day Workshop Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August - 9.30 am till 4 pm

My ‘best of the best’ workshop to develop your skills in fabric designing, starting with the basics and extending

into a huge range of techniques to give you the confidence to understand and expand your own skills once the two

days are over. In this very comprehensive program, we shall explore and further develop many of the

techniques from my DVDs and featured in my articles in Embellish magazines

This is the perfect program for quilters and textiles teachers to design large pieces of fabric for all sewing projects, and upcycle a garment or two as well. I’m delighted to offer as many of our new techniques as we can fit into a day. Be

prepared to learn LOTS during this workshop !!!

Instant Fabrics in the Microwave Saturday 8 August – 9.30 am till 4 pm

Create stunning – and surprising – designs using the heat and steam in the microwave oven. Liquid Radiance is

non-toxic, so you can use the same microwave for ‘cooking’ fabrics as well as food.

Fantastic Flats! Sunday 9 August – 9.30 am till 4 pm

Enjoy printing and stamping, stencilling and colour combing, sponging, brush painting - and a whole lot more - using our own unique paint formulation that leaves fabric soft, and is totally washable. “Flat” paints are perfect for

creating original designs or adding enhancements to hand-coloured backgrounds. You’ll learn LOTS on this day !!!

Sensational Silk Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 August – 9.30 am till 4 pm

Explore traditional silk painting skills that originated in southern Europe over 500 years ago, but with a modern

twist thanks to our safe and simple-to-use colours. Design a couple of silk scarves during the workshops too.

No artistic skills necessary!

PRICE: $100.00 – should be more, but hey, it’s our big birthday

year! Workshop fees include silk and scarves for our projects.

Free Motion Machine Quilting

Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 August – 9.30 am till 4 pm

Learn to use your sewing machine ‘like a pencil’, stitching amazing designs to enhance the patterns created during our Fabulous Fabrics workshops, and more. Using my very different methods for teaching this skill, you’ll turn

‘I thought it would be difficult’ into ‘wow, so easy!’ so you can really express yourself, and bring your quilting to life.

NOTE: You’ll need a sewing machine for this two-day workshop.

2020 … new decade … new direction for me in our Genesis Creations™ business

As I ‘achieve’ my ¾ century mark (in age), it’s time to stay at home more and enjoy my Toowoomba Studio. My travel

for workshops will be limited to within a 2 to 3 hour drive from here – easier not to have to pack everything and take

it with me. Even better, I can keep workshop costs to a minimum, and have everything on hand when we want to explore skills beyond what’s in my car. Here’s to many

more years of creativity together …
