GeoMedia® Viewer
GeoMedia Viewer is a free GIS application for displaying, analyzing, and printing map data. It is intended to be a low-cost, easy-to-learn application for viewing map information created and formatted using GeoMedia or GeoMedia Pro. As a viewing and analysis tool, it allows you to unite geographic data from different sources, in different formats, and with different map projections into a single environment. GeoMedia Viewer lets you perform simple queries on spatial and attribute data from various sources, and produce numerous views of highly sophisticated maps in a single GeoWorkspace. Furthermore, it gives you the capability of printing those map views.

GeoMedia is our core GIS management package. It enables you to realize the maximum value of your geospatial resources, integrating them to present clear, actionable information. It provides simultaneous access to geospatial data in almost any form, uniting them in a single map view for efficient processing, analysis, presentation, and sharing. GeoMedia provides a full suite of powerful analysis tools, including attribute and spatial query, buffer zones, spatial overlays, and thematics. With its data server technology, you can easily apply your analysis across multiple geospatial formats. GeoMedia's intuitive, dynamic analysis functionality enables concatenation of analysis processes so the results of one operation feed directly into the next process, as well as automatic updating of results in response to data changes. GeoMedia is also uniquely suited to perform what-if analysis because it enables you to string together multiple operations in an analysis pipeline. Changing any of the data along the pipeline automatically updates the results. For many applications, the ultimate goal is a map presentation. GeoMedia® Pro
Smart Data Capture Tools GeoMedia Pro provides capture and editing tools that are easier to use, faster, and smarter than traditional GIS tools. It builds on GeoMedia's flexibility, scalability, and open standards, and delivers productivity gains for collecting and modifying data and speeding implementation of geospatial databases. By combining the productivity of a CAD-like environment with GIS-specific functionality, GeoMedia Pro helps you capture clean, accurate data the first time. GeoMedia Pro implements several unique capabilities that speed the capture and edit of spatial data. One of these, shown here, is the automatic maintenance of topological relationships, which ensures that an edit to a vertex is applied to all connected geometry. This speeds up workflows by eliminating digitizing errors such as slivers, unclosed areas, undershoots, and overshoots. It also removes the need to perform edits multiple times for shared boundaries. For example, if you have a parcel boundary that follows the course of a river, you want to be sure that an edit to one will be automatically reflected in the other.
Enterprise Data Management GeoMedia Pro supports direct read/write access to a variety of industry standard database management systems, including Access
®, SQL Server
®, and Oracle
®, making it possible to deliver the geographic
component of business information at a lower cost to more users. By storing the data (including spatial data) in a relational database that is easily accessible throughout the enterprise, departments can maintain tight control over their data, keep maps and related information up to date, and reduce redundancy and error, while making the geospatial data more widely accessible to others throughout an organization.
