point

An undefined term. A point has no

length or width. A point determines aspecific location.




line

An undefined term. Usually defined by

an unlimited amount of points in astraight line. A line continues infinitely in both directions.




plane

A flat surface with never ending lines.

A parallelogram is usually used toillustrate a plane.




space

The set of all possible points; made upof infinite planes.




segment & ray

A segment is a part or section of a line. It has two

endpoints with a straight line.

A ray is a subset of a line. It starts at an endpointand extends indefinitely along the line in one

direction.
