Overview• Analytics are used within the Realizeit System to guide learners as well as instructors

• Analytics Roadmap creates a framework to provide the institution with the ability to effect continuous improvement and build their analytics knowledge

• Analytics support the learning process

• Analytics provide the necessary insights to enable the targeted improvement of a course as well as providing feedback on student and faculty engagement.

Scope of analytics

• Analytics provides feedback and insights in three key areas:

• Courses – Measure the performance of the various components that constitute a course. This can help direct resources towards areas in most need of attention

• Learners – Measure learner knowledge and engagement in real-time in order to impact on learning as it happens

• Instruction Approach– Measure the impact of different intervention strategies in order to provide feedback on the most effective approaches

Case Study : Colorado Technical University

• Branded as Intellipath, Realizeit has been in use at the Colorado Technical University (CTU) since 2012.

• Implementation – at scale

• Started with 3 courses and 358 unique students

• Now 180 unique courses and over 62,500 unique students.

• 285,000 enrollments, 150 million questions delivered, 10 million adaptive learning activities.

• Success - identified Accounting course as largest impact

• Pass rate went up to an 81% average – a 27% increase

• Course retention rate rose about 9% to 95%

• Final grade average increased by 10% to 79%

Case Study: University of Central Florida

• Implementation

• Started with pilot of 3 courses - General Psychology , Nursing (Physiopathology) and College Algebra

• Extended to include Introduction to Statistics

• Success

• Grades – Slight increase, already high performing classes

• Students perception of course – Realizeit students much more likely to rate course excellent

• Students perception of Realizeit -

• 83.7% would use Realizeit again

• 82.8% felt they learned the course material better as a result of using Realizeit

• 89.4% agreed that Realizeit was easy to use while 91.2% found the instructions clear.

• 77.7% found that the assessments were effective and 80.9% reported that the ability levels as measured by Realizeit were accurate.

• 73.5% found that Realizeit became personalized to them over time

• 80.9% felt Realizeit increased their engagement.
