German Language Assistant: Ashville College Each year, the TEFL department sends one male student to our partner school Ashville College in Harrogate (UK). This position involves both working as a German language teaching assistant and as a resident tutor in one of the boarding houses. Duties include: • as a teaching assistant for German: timetabled lessons with students from Year 7 to Sixth Form (18 periods work per week in College) • as a resident tutor in a boarding house: assisting the housemaster in the smooth running of House matters and be an actively committed part of the House Team to ensure that appropriate care is given to all boarders. The language assistant will be part of a residential team of three tutors, as such they will be expected to be on duty approximately 1/3 rd of the time during the week. Salary: • £879.00 per month • free room and board The fellowship usually runs from the end of August until the middle of July.
