Don't be shy, join groups and post that you are available to Skype, add friends and feel free to directly contact another Member

7.Remember your students are your School's (and Country's) Ambassadors. Remind them that they need to not act Silly, disrespectful and be aware of their Body Movements in front of the camera.

It is the perfect time to practice with your students (maybe by dividing the class into two groups and have them practice): -Speaking Loudly & Clearly -Speaking with Confidence -Show Engagement

Be Aware of Slang: Remind them that Your Skype Partners might not understand their Regional Slang or their English, if Skyping with Other Second Language Learners.

8.E-mail the teacher you will be connecting with at least 24 hrs ahead of time to confirm Skype call. If possible set up a Test Skype Call, without Students, to test equipment, sound and video as well as confirm Time Zone Difference.

1. Responsible for adding Date & Time of planned Skype connection to shard & embedded Google Calendar. Older Students can email and coordinate Date and Time for the call with Connection Partners

2. Greets the partner school. Makes initial introduction.Talks about Geographic location.

3. Shares something special about class, school, city, state or country. Could be song, dance, souvenir, project, sports team, etc.

4. Asks specific questions for data collection. Answers questions from Connection Partner Responsible for keeping conversation fluid

7. Documenting conversation, questions, answers and classroomhappenings during the connection on a backchannel chat (Ex.Todays Meet.com)

8 Responsible to save backchannel chat as a Word Document cleaning up duplicate comments and mark questionable statements to be verified.
